I've never been to India, but lived in London, which has some of the world's best Indian restaurants. The Chicken Tikka Masala I had at Darbaar was in that range. It's a tiny one-man run Takeaway where up to 6-7 people may sit by two tables, just about comfortably enough to enjoy a very authentic South-Indian/Pakistani cuisine. The choice of dishes is limited, which makes perfectly sense for a one-man show. The owner/chef is friendly and every piece of meal is made from scratch and of good quality. We were 3 people, two of them rather picky vegetarians who are not easily made happy in a restaurant. Well, they were at Danbaar. The portions were just perfect. I'm a 90 kg. man, and I was full after one dish with a side of Naan bread and a delicious Mango Lassi. Well-fed, but not stuffed. Some reviews call it expensive... Welcome to Copenhagen. Looking forward to my next visit, whenever I get close to...
Read moreDuring a recent stopover in Copenhagen, my friend and I stumbled upon this delightful Indian restaurant while searching for a quick halal meal near the airport.
From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Now, onto the food—wow! The chicken and lamb was fresh and bursting with flavour.
The prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality and service we received. The location is super convenient, just a short distance from our airport hotel, making it an ideal stop for travelers.
The atmosphere super casual, perfect for a relaxed experience, and they also offer takeaway and food delivery options. Overall, I highly recommend this Indian restaurant for anyone looking for delicious food...
Read moreI only gave it 3 stars for atmosphere because I didn't eat in. But it was clean, and I would've had no problem dining in. As for the butter chicken, it was amazing just as I remember when I used to eat it in Abu Dhabi several years ago. The halwa dessert was also delicious. I'd never had it before. Food was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes, and it was more like 12 so that was a welcoand pleasant surprise. Would...
