26May18 10:11AM The lowest available rating is ONE but my real rating is ZERO because despite the rest of the commentary below there is one unforgivable hygiene and food safety defect which Scandinavian Airlines must fix immediately: it is completely inappropriate to offer open bowls of potato chips in unsecure locations.
Are these large bowls a cost saving tactic instead of the sealed bags offered by other airline lounges? The SAS Copenhagen lounges' open bowls of chips can be spiked with drugs by a malicious person or a stupid prankster. If it happened then it's possible for a passenger to be stricken after their aircraft is in the air far from medical help.
A particularly seedy, unattractively furnished Scandinavian Airlines Gold lounge in Copenhagen international terminal. Perhaps this is SAS chic. At a peak travel time it appears as if most of the staff are sick or otherwise absent today or don't like passengers - in the first 45 minutes after our entry this shameful example of an international lounge had no staff refreshing the lounge or picking up used cups and plates.
It doesn't matter where in this lounge you walk its overall condition is: shabby.
Unappetising food, cheap lighting, chipped tables, badly marked floors and many chairs plus cushions overdue for replacement ... there's not much left for SAS to foist onto passengers paying for premium seats? Well ... maybe ginger ale! Yup; ginger ale, one of the most recognised drinks on the planet, is not available on-tap or in cans/bottles in the fridge.
Best to avoid this SAS lounge because the public departure areas' benches and coffee shops are better. They really do meet the expectations of their...
Read moreWhat a terrible place. I paid £34 to enter as I had some time to kill before my flight and I walked out literally after 10 mins. I preferred to say goodbye to my 34 quid than sit there for a second more.. what an unpleasant place and i have been in a fair number of lounges across the world.. the place is super populated and dirty.. there are some individual desks but the sheer amount of people around is just crazy and cph airport has some nice quiet areas that I would argue are bettr suited if you need some privacy to work.. the food .. it is just ugh.. honestly nothing edible.. only the look of the food will put you off if you have some respect for your body and not use it as a trash bin. In the 10 mins i spent there, I tried the red wine out of the three alcoholic drinks on offer (beer; white & red cheap wine). the wine tasted like sherry. Waste of time and money this lounge, better shut it down considering the amount of nice lounges and restaurants in CPH.. how expensive would it be to put at least some edible food and perhaps have some controlled capacity instead so the quality is at least a bit better .. this was my most expensive and low quality glass...
Read moreAbsolutely loved the SAS lounge in Copenhagen. I had a midday flight back to the states and arrived to the airport early just to relax before the long trip home. If you are flying SAS plus or business you get access to the lounge and their quick security check they have in place. It only took me maybe 3 minutes to pass through SAS security point. Once through you can go to the lounge and scan your boarding pass to gain access. Inside you will find plenty of places to sit back and relax. There is a huge spread of food throughout the day and plenty of different drink options to choose from. They also have very nice shower rooms in the lounge in case you need to freshen up. Everyone that worked there was extremely friendly and helpful with any need I had. I believe you can also buy access to the lounge if you don't have business or plus boarding pass. There is no smoking area in the lounge and you will have to walk to the smoking Terrance to smoke. The good thing is you do not have to pass through security to go to it because it is on...
