CPH Lufthavn — Local services in Tårnby Kommune

Car rental process needs improvement. I give Copenhagen Airport one star only because I am dissatisfied with CPH’s part of the car rental process. It is OK (can’t be avoided) to have the car rental office and pick-up location the current 1-2 km from the airport terminals but please improve:

1. access to the airport shuttle bus. Currently the signboards displayed within the airport instruct all users to use the only available elevator to cross the street. This elevator is extremely small and can only fit a maximum of 2 luggage carts. This is a bottleneck and triggers a queue and frustration. Instead, people who need to use the car rental shuttle bus could simply walk outside of Terminal 3 and cross the road using the traffic light.
2. increase the frequency of the shuttle bus. We waited at least 15 min. on a weekday late afternoon and when the bus finally arrived there were too many passengers and not enough space for the luggage.
3. provide luggage carts at the shuttle bus stop near the car rental pick-up. Many families especially those with small children have a lot of suitcases, etc. and depend on luggage carts. Currently, the shuttle bus leaves you "stranded" at the bus stop and you need to hand-carry all your stuff to the car rental office. The above suggestions should not require many resources to implement. Only a bit of sincere care and proper considerations. It's one big feel-good shopping center,... but with way too few spots to just sit and work a bit or read a book. My critical mind suspects a well considered intention behind too low capacity for calm seating: (1) draw people in more eating and shopping, (2) reduce the opportunity for social scientists (like myself) to find a good and calm corner to observe and ponder on the typical apathic human behavior on airports. I give CPH Lufthavn two stars,... which is still two stars more than what I would give any other airport. So well done...
