This place is a true cautionary tale. Please heed this review and save yourself money aggravation, awe and dismay.

The location is beautiful I must admit the food and drinks are good.but the hotel and the service leave much to be desired.

Upon entering my room I immediately knew there was a problem.the small refrigerator should be in its own small cabinet and was but the plug was coming out and over the cabinet and plug out side.also it had rust along the bottom of it and was dingy as if found in a dump or an old repair shop. I've never seen any thing like this and pictures are attached of this, the faucets in the bathroom and shower the Jacuzzi all had rust on the where not polished and you could see lime scale rather unsightly. The closets would not close due to being misaligned, the windows in the shower and toilet where windows they found some where look at the pics. The Jacuzzi didn't work it couldn't hold water and I didn't even bother seeing the bad condition of the faucets.

My first night in the hotel took a shower and the drain was clogged? Totally incomprehensible I was amazed it took two days for them to come to unclog the drain that took about 9 hours for the water to go down. The sink was clogged also just mind numbing thinking about the photos on the internet showing the hotel.

I've traveled quite extensively in my years and I've never come across any thing like this the mattress I pulled up the bed sheet and to be honest didn't I could not bring myself to fully remove the bed sheet , I just didn't have the funds to get another hotel.but observe the photos , the bed blankets where frayed , cut towels for the bathroom floor. All in all save your money don't go, a family member was robbed not 4 minutes for the hotel by the police of all things and you can't file a report, with who?

I had a terrible excursion, para sailing. They took us out with 3 to 4 foot swells several people got sea sick, the boat's engine turned off and two of the party fell into the water from about 35 feet in the air. It was a nightmare. They didn't reimburse us, So if you choose to do para sailing inquire about the water conditions out at sea even though you should not have to, ask to save yourself a bad experience that can really take a turn for the worse. Upon getting back to the hotel to take the salt water off in a shower with a clogged drain there was no water in my room at all,I called the service desk and 15 minutes turned into about 4 or 5 hours In addition got bogus charges placed on my credit card after leaving.

Do not stay there..spend your time and money wisely And have a good time read the reviews don't just take my word for it...read them and be...

As soon as I stepped into Boca Marina, I knew I was in for something special. The elegant dining room overlooks the Caribbean Sea, providing a stunning backdrop for what was to come. The scent of freshly caught seafood wafted through the air, mingling with the aroma of herbs and spices. I was ready to be blown away.

The menu at Boca Marina is a masterpiece. Chef Fernando Martinez, who trained under the likes of Daniel Boulud and Alain Ducasse, has crafted a culinary journey that explores the flavors and ingredients of the Dominican Republic. Every dish is a work of art, a symphony of flavors and textures that dance across your tongue.

The appetizers alone were enough to make me weak at the knees. The ceviche was a revelation, the tangy acidity of the lime and orange juices perfectly balancing the sweetness of the sea bass. The empanadas were also a standout, their crispy exterior giving way to a tender and flavorful filling of shrimp and crab.

For the main course, I went with the red snapper, which was served with a coconut curry sauce and plantain puree. The fish was perfectly cooked, the flesh flaking away at the slightest touch of my fork. The curry sauce was rich and complex, the coconut giving it a subtle sweetness that complemented the spiciness of the curry. And the plantain puree was a revelation, its sweetness providing a perfect counterpoint to the savory flavors of the dish.

But what really stood out to me at Boca Marina was the attention to detail. Every ingredient, every spice, every technique was executed with precision and care. This is a restaurant that takes its craft seriously, and it shows in every dish.

All in all, Boca Marina is a gem of a restaurant. If you're ever in Boca Chica, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You...

Our visit to Boca Marina was a complete disaster from start to finish. Despite the nice scenery, the service and food were some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. We waited over an hour and a half for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, it was freezing cold. Not lukewarm—ice cold.

We had ordered sushi as an appetizer, which showed up five minutes before our cold entrees. The sushi itself was inedible: the rice was hard, dry, and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The piña coladas were underwhelming and mediocre at best. We finished our drinks within 10 minutes of being seated, and no one ever checked back to offer a second round or even ask if we wanted water. In fact, we didn’t get any water until we specifically asked for it right before leaving.

To make matters worse, the server kept giving us false timelines for when our food would be ready, stringing us along the whole night. And in the middle of all this, they randomly moved our table—for no apparent reason. When the check came, they still expected us to pay full price until we had to push to have the cold entrées comped, which should have been automatic given the situation. What’s worse is that we had extremely simple meals that should not have taken anywhere near that long. After we complained about the temperature, replacement dishes were brought out in under 60 seconds, which left us even more confused about what was going on in the kitchen the whole time.

In total, we wasted more than three hours at this restaurant. It’s nothing like the curated image it has on social media. The only good thing here is the view, but trust me—it’s not worth the frustration, poor service, and awful food. I absolutely would not recommend Boca...
