EcoBar & Lounge — Restaurant in Higüey

Not really a place to go if one is not native and doesn't speak Spanish. Even though they are inside an international hotel chain, the guys tried but failed because a simple English word like "half" is an obstacle they couldn't manage. So far away from getting an explanation of a dish or a recommendation. So far, this has proven to be the case in many wanna be fine dining restaurants in this country. It's a shame, because the food at this restaurant was actually good (what I was able to order and get, I came as far as appetizers), but the whole experience fundered. This is not the fault of the workers, but of the managers who did not provide a A level English speaking waiter per shift. Meybe, we in Europe had beed spoiled by much higher standards...

Large menu with many selections. We tried tacos as appetizer and mofongo as the main dish. The food was good but not amazing. Price is higher than other restaurants in the area assuming because this would be considered high dining. The ambience was pretty quiet, the restaurant was almost empty even at 7pm on a Saturday with music blasting. Service was also alright, the server was kind and food came out fast. This is a solid choice if you’re in the area and want a nicer dine...

2da vez en visitar la comida está durando mucho tiempo en salir solo eso.

Entrenar bien al personal de servicio al cliente. El camarero no pregunta si tenemos algunas alergia, algo que traiga nuestro plato, el dice que no se hacen cambios a los platos así que tengan cuenta lo que piden si tienen alguna alergias. No se quita ni agrega nada

La joven que nos atiende, parece estar distraída Al darnos el servicio, pedimos la orden y sale con algo que no salía en el menú, en el menú decía que el ceviche salía con maíz dulce y salado y lo sacan con maní lo cual tampoco se me informa 🥜 al cual soy alérgica, pido papas a la francesa me dice que no salen asi sino normales , que lo iban a cambiar lo cual se enfrió mi orden esperando el cambio, toma la orden y aún así lo trae mal. Además de que duró mucho tiempo esperando la comida mucho tiempo esperando Quería probar camarones pero ya no habían disponibles esa noche. Pido dos agua y...
