Le Gourmet Restaurant — Restaurant in Higüey

We visited this place on 29/07 30/07 and 31/07. (room 99326) The first two times it was above ok. Nothing to complain. But our visit this saturday was WAY below standards. First of all we had to wait too long. The waiter seemed to understand that and apologized a few times and tried to satisfy me with some glasses of white wine. (i ordered red wine.... but well, the wite wine was quite good) My daughter even left the place just after main course because she got too tired... BUT!!! When we received our soup all 3 plates were really DISGUSTING!! i will add a picture but it doesn't really show it. It looked that they were just re-used without cleaning. Finger prints, left overs all over the plates. It just didn't look that they weren't cleaned, they just weren't cleaned at all! That is really a no go for bahia principe! @bahia principe, the picture here is bad, i can show you proof with the several pictures i took and which i can send you...

The food was good... But the service was painfully slow. Arrived at 8:30pm and were still waiting on things at 10:30pm

Had to remind them 3 times for our drinks. Finally got our drinks after we finished our meals.

Ordered coffee at the end of the meal and it came black, so we asked for milk... Guy left and didn't come back. Asked another waiter for milk... Eventually after 10-15 mins... We got tired of waiting and just left... And ofcourse the milk then arrives.

We were at the il paridiso the night before... And that place was also soooo slow as well... We are planning on going back to the buffets since it's faster and...

I had a fantastic dining experience at Le Gourmet! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. What truly made the evening special was the exceptional service—our waitress, Thania, was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.
