Garden Grill — Restaurant in Higüey

Went to the restaurant for 18:30 on the 17/10/2023 and was looking forward to eating there when I got there i was not greeted in a friendly manner. I just got looked at and told to scan the QR code to pull up the menu. When I explained the Wi-Fi was not working, and it would not work. They roll the eyes and give me a menu, which was a laminated piece of paper and I sat down and had to wait 25 minutes to get my first drink and to get any knowledge meant of any staff when he poured my drink. He also took my order. I asked for the steak and I also asked instead of having the jacket Tayto can I have French fries staff member said yes and then waited a further 30 minutes for the food which I had to ask where it was and in that time I had no drinks I had an empty glass on the table members, staff was just walking past ignoring people in the restaurant very poor service I don’t think I would like to go back here. The food looked good but it come out wrong. There was no French fries I had to ask again for this. Because the service was that bad and taking forever, I didn’t even stop...

Sad to say that we were disappointed with our experience at the garden grill. After arriving in very hot conditions we were given a seat with no air conditioning on. We had our seats changed. We were given an appetiser which was tasty but flat cold. My starter was chicken wings but it barely had any meat on it at all and was just broken bones. Having ordered gin and lemonade we recieved just lemonade. We had to do this twice before using Google to explain it was missing the gin. It main course was the mixed platter for 2. The sausage and chicken were fine but the steak was over cooked in parts and rare in others. We had asked for medium rare. Some of the meat was just fatty or too tough to chew. First time in Punta Cana .we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary We had 20 people at this restaurant The time we walked in every thing went wrong .the staff took the food orders for different steaks but every one ended up getting the same steaks .we ordered mix green salads ;we all got chopped lettuce with sardines on top .We had to cut and serve our own wedding cake and the best was the waiters went to our guest and gave them .bottles of wine and then charged to their rooms with out them being aware of. The worst restaurant in the resort .later out side we were told by two other couples that they had the same experience with the sneaky waiters and the wine ordeal .Resort was 5 star .People were 5 star.
