Ristorante La Dolce Vita — Restaurant in Las Terrenas

Out of all the restaurants that I’ve been in this country this past few days, this has been the best. The service alone compared to all of the other restaurants (other restaurants the waiters just seem like they hate their life or something) But this restaurant has changed my mind about this country, The owner was an Italian man who was just super super nice and very polite. Checked on me and my wife constantly and when my coffee took and bit long, he fixed it in less than a minute. Me and my wife always love going out to eat somewhere different and this is definitely in my top 5. Food was great, drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was just a 11/10!! I’m sad that I’m leaving this part of town today and won’t come back for another year. The owner isn’t friendly, he acted like my 2 questions about the menu were killing him. The waiter did not check on my a single time. I asked to sit outside but couldn’t even enjoy my Food because the enclosed area was swarming with flies. When I asked if I can sit inside my waiter told me even though there were multiple tables available. I didn’t even finish my food as there were flies swimming in my pasta sauce. I order a desert to go obviously because I ww ready to leave and eat my food at home I’m peace yet was left waiting for my check until I got up and asked for it. I STILL left a tip even the service all around Was horrible especially to be charging so much for 8 raviolis and have an attitude like you don’t Want my business. I won’t be returning. Food was 6/10...

We don’t like to give bad reviews to any places because we understand how much it could impact their business but this one deserves it for the following reasons:

1- Owner is not that friendly only to his Italian selective customers. You name it is a “cosa nosstra” issue or just need a new girlfriend.

2 - We asked for a typical carbonara that we eat on any Italian restaurant and their pasta was uncooked for the overpriced cost.

3- the only positive thing I can give to this place is the Dominican waitress are super friendly and nice to people, even though they notice owners think as they don’t want your business. It’s a shame local people are nicer than management, maybe the waitresses need to move to a different restaurant which such a nice...
