This hotel says: " Yes to your money, but no to you. " Especially if you are a family with kids. We were there for 1 day. 4 families. (1 Danish, 1 British, 2 American) The owners didn't like the guests using their pool and playing in it - happy children sounds are to noisy. (Total time in pool 30 minutes, total judgements 3) Walls are very thin. So in the morning at 8 you couldn't even have a conversation outside. And let me tell you. You want to be outside. Rooms are very small and basically have no windows. Room were full of mosquitos. Internet was terrible. 1 family had a sick kid with high fever - and we asked for 1 hour extension for that family. But nooooo. The 1 cleaning lady could clean all rooms at the same time. The owners are very meticulous about it being tidy and nice. But why then, don't we have water for drinking or soap in our rooms? Nice atmosphere but Rooms are very poor. And you don't feel welcome. The experience ruined our trip to the city.
It felt like a cheap motel. Not a hotel For 150 dollar for 1 night. We would expect much higher standard and a more welcoming atmosphere.
Edit after comment from owner: I often leave a fair review - but i don't appriciate a hotel owner telling 4 families how to raise their kids. If your guest standard is higher then cater towards those guests. Dont tell your guests how to raise their kids. We felt observed and judged for just being alive with kids. Either this hotel should change their attitude or it should definitely be...
Read moreThis hotel has a great location near the beach and all the restaurants. There is a nice small feel about the pool and common area. However there are several issues. the owners where very upset that our kids where playing in the pool and one of them dropped a leaf in it. The kids were not being loud or obnoxious but it really upset the owners. It is clear they were not fond of having kids in the hotel. Which is fine if they just said the hotel was only for adults, but no such warning was given just dirty looks and talking under their breath in French (mistakenly believing we don’t speak French). the room was full of mosquitoes the room had 2 towels even though they knew we had 6 people in the room refrigerator wasn’t working and there was no drinking water available in the room. one blanket was provided for 4 beds. no soap in the bathroom All these things are not something I would normally even mention except I paid $170 per night for this and I thought it should have been much better for that price. I hope the owners learn to be more accepting of families or make it an adults only hotel so that other families don’t get the same rough treatment. I hope they also take care of the other issues I stated because this place does have the potential to be very nice with a few...
Read moreReplying to the review of Mariangela below that warned of the place. I stayed there at the same time as her, I know this because the owner told me they threatened to call the health authorities. I couldnt disagree more with her. They were a group of 18 people expecting a all-inclusive experience, when the hotel does not have a lot of common space or extra services (like breakfast or room service). The rooms and facilities are very clean. Casa Nina is in a great location steps away from the beach. It is intimate and quiet with a beautiful pool. Some rooms do not have AC. The owners are lovely and there to make your stay wonderful. I agree with David that they could provide more towels for the actual number of guests in the room and help with the mosquito problem, especially in the rooms. Overall a great place for small families and couples who appreciate a quiet, clean and...
