The place is the cutest little restaurant in Santiago, very modern and cozy vibes. Loved everything about the decor and esthetics. Customer service by staff was pleasant. I was left unattended for a little with while trying to order by the register to go, but once staff came over, she was very pleasant to work with. She was patient and made recommendations for food and drinks. While waiting at an outside table to go, staff constantly checked in to make sure we were ok and were being helped. This was very different from the owner, who stopped by and checked in with two of the three tables outside, had conversations with them for most of the time we were there (over ten minutes) and didn’t bother to even cordially smile over at our table. It seemed as if she personally new the customers on the other tables, which is great that they are supporting the business, but I strongly believe that as the owner of a new location she should’ve been welcoming of all her customers. She has a bit to learn about customer service from her staff.
I had the house drink, cavacasa, which was amazing and refreshing. Wish I had ordered two!
I was very excited for the food. As the only vegan in my family (and visiting from the states) I was excited for everyone to try a vegan meal and treats. By the time we got home to eat (8 minute drive) the food was cold. However it was not room temperature cold, but the middle/ inside of the food was cold. We ordered the vegan flatbread and the toppings were cold, almost as if when you microwave a meal and it doesn’t fully heat up. Very disappointed with the flatbread. We got the vegan nachos and had a similar experience. The middle of the dish was too cold, but it was overall tasty. The best dish was the vegan quesadillas. They were tasty and met my expectations, but the avocado and pico de gallo were a bit in the salty side.
I’m a sweets person, so of course I had to get some treats, which are actually from the owner’s first bakery, skinnycravingz. I’ve previously had treats from skinnycravingz on a prior trip to the country, and it was pretty yummy. However, the treats I had today, honestly, we had to trash. They definitely were not the freshest batch. The cinnamon donut I had was half stale. I can’t begin to describe the chocolate cupcake. One bite and had to discard it. Couldn’t even swallow it. The cinnamon cupcake/ muffin was basically burnt. It was stale and the bottom was brown along with the rim.
Very disappointed with this experience, as I’ve been following both skinnycravingz and Acasa for a while and was looking forward to supporting the small business and experiencing the...
Read moreA go-to spot of mine for healthy and dietary restriction conscious and overall good food. The options on the menu are innovative.
I ordered the vegan nachos as well as the “protein high” smoothie that is naturally made with almond milk for take out. The smoothie was definitely 10/10, delicious! As for the nachos; I wish that they would have separated the chips and all of the toppings, because as you can see on the photos the chips weren’t chips anymore by the time it got here. Other than that, the food tasted great.
As for constructive criticism something I have noticed are that there tend to be some very slight inconsistencies with some of their dishes. Some days the food tastes and looks like it has been prepared with love and care and other days still good but not AS much. Just something I wanted to mention because I love to see them thrive!
The last thing I wanted to mention is that it is quite expensive, even more so on Uber Eats, and their portions tend to be small. So just a heads up.
Overall, if you’re coming from a big country where a lot of these types of restaurants exist, I...
Read moreThe place is cozy, with beautiful decor, and a menu that provides for people with diet restrictions (gluten free, vegetarian, vegan).
The only thing that was a hiccup in our experience is that the place advertises an all day breakfast, and some of the options in the menu were not available since it was near lunch time, and it wasn't like they ran out of ingredients, but that they cooked salty lunch in their grill, so they could do sweet breakfast, in this case their house pancakes "Acasa pancakes". That was a downer since we went there looking...
