I'm very surprised to see great reviews on here. My experience at this place was not that great. My family and I came for breakfast. It was about 8:00am. The first thing I was told was that there was no water to make coffee... Really?? You can't buy a bottled water to problem solve? Then, I guess nobody cleans up at closing time because they chose to clean up the place in the morning with customers there trying to eat. There were flies EVERYWHERE, which I don't get because we were indoors. We finally got our meals, and it was really nothing to brag about either. My son's pancakes were burnt, and when the water finally came and they were able to make my coffee, it didn't taste that great either. The atmosphere is very cute and the place has great potential, but there's definitely a lot of room for improvement. On a more positive note, the coffee came with a little note that read, "Have Faith," which I thought was nice, and their staff was also nice. Moreover, even though the prices were somewhat reasonable, I felt that I paid a lot of money for food that I really didn't enjoy. If you're in Santiago looking for a place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, don't waste your time anywhere else and just go straight to Square One. They're open 24 hours and you'll get a lot more...
Read moreI wanted to give Scory an honest review. So here’s it is- I walk in with my mom and sister and ready to be eat great food as it was highly recommended! They told me where to sit but we were greeted like 10min after. Menu was only in digital and so they made the effort to give my mom the labtop menu which was nice! They did tell me where to sit, but waiter pass by us and don’t really give a care. Thereafter, waiter came by and helped us. We got drinks—they don’t have many drinks with tequila only like 2 and well one was out so I got what they had! I asked for tajin on the rim. Once the drinks came no tajin- they were able to correct the situation and make it right after. The second drink took long to come. Overall, the food was better than average, atmosphere feels cozy, but the service was horrible- more specially the wait time, some of the servers did really try their best so I don’t want to make it seem like I’m being unfair. I would come again but if I were to choose between Scory and square 1 go to square 1. Faster service and more...
Read moreOur first visit to this restaurant wasn’t the best. I had my eye on the Pepito sandwich listed on the menu, but our server said she couldn’t find it on her iPad and wasn’t able to accommodate the order. I ended up settling for the chicken chimi, which I felt rushed into choosing. Unfortunately, it was disappointing—a small piece of breaded fried chicken served on an entire piece of overly toasted bread, and the flavors just didn’t hit the mark.
My boyfriend, on the other hand, really enjoyed his Skory Sandwich, and I will say the Americano coffee was excellent—so much so that it convinced me to give the place another try during our 8-day stay in Santiago.
On our second visit, I ordered the mangu with salami guisado, and it was definitely a hit—super flavorful and satisfying. However, our appetizer never came, which was a bit of a letdown. And to clarify, this wasn’t a language issue—both my boyfriend and I speak fluent Spanish.
Overall, it was a mixed experience, but there are definitely some standout items worth...
