Absolute garbage.
First time I tried to go there they tried to take my camera off me, somehow unaware of the cameras everyone carries in their pockets these days.
Second time, sans camera, went into one of the restaurants.
Made an order. Random jack of all trades people serve as both waiter and like... minder. And DJ. They put on SUPER loud music when we arrived, played of speakers made in 1999, sounded terrible, and these people would change the song before it had finished, which is the most irritating thing I can imagine, and randomly switched between Egyptian/Arabic music and rubbish western music like Despacito and occasionally hip hop full of obscenities and slurs, completely inappropriate for a restaurant.
Service took forever. This is quite common in Egypt but honestly in the time it took I could have bought ingredients, gone home with UBER and made the damn thing myself.
There was a hair in my drink.
When the food finally arrived, there was a hair in that too. And to top it all off, the food was bland and tasteless.
Shockingly bad place, aimed at tourists but obviously too cheap to pay for whatever permit you need to sell alcohol in Egypt, hence the lack thereof here, so couldn't even dampen my frustration with the subtle moodlift of an intoxicating beverage.
The views of of Alexandria and the Med were gorgeous though, we were close to waves crashing onto the beach, so...
Read moreHello I am writing to express how bad I felt yesterday about being embarrassed at front of my fiancĂŠ by being asked for a minimum charged 100 per per person. We have only 2 coffees and water and the waiter was trying to suggest ordering other things that we do not even eat or want at the moment. It was not fair pushing customers to eat something they are not even interested in. I have been coming to Carlos cafe for a long time and it is the first time someone asked me to pay for something I do not need. We ordered 2 coffee âď¸ Double and 1 water . The total charge was 100. That was fair. It does not make since for me to order more if I do not want to for another 100 . also, there is not clear note about that minimum charge thing. Incident was taken place on 02/15 at 8 pm. My name is Hussein and I am an American Egyptian citizen. I never seen this in any other countries. Hopefully someone hear my voice and get back to me about that. Have...
Read moreThe place is calm. Very chic but i have two problems with the place. The first problem is: the parking is really small and the security doesn't let you know that there are no places in the parking, he told us to go into the parking even though he knew that was a waste of time. There is a parking about 10 min away from gleem bay directly on el Geish road. The second problem is there were two cats running around, they were meowing asking for food and even hitting our hands. We gave them food and water when the cat was finally full, the waiter approached and told us that feeding the cats is not allowed!! So you letting the cats in and letting them run around the restaurants is ok but when we feed them is not ok! Please allow us to feed the cats, they have lives too and should be treated well. If you dont want them to bother the people when they're eating, feed them and...
