I found out about it from a reel on Instagram that said it was amazing.
To be honest, I found it very overrated. For me, it is barely acceptable. Here's why
🌮 Ordered Fool Eskandarani without tehina and Mousaqaa. Came with sides of torshi (pickles), pickled eggplant and salad (they get the sides regardless of whether you ask or not and it is paid, I think, so if you don't want them, let them know). The fool itself was tasteless despite having a combination of oil, onions, chili powder and chili slices. The slices of chili were very overpowering and adding lemon to try to improve the taste didn't help. The mousaqaa (made of eggplant, potatoes, tomato sauce and tomatoes) was really unpleasant. I ate it regularly from another fool cart for a while - it was cooked in a similar way w/ the same components - but for some reason it tasted worse and I think the potatoes weren't well cooked.
We also shared a plate of their famous "shrimp fries" (they have nothing to do with shrimps, they're made of potatoes, I believe. but they're covered with an orange coloring so I think that's where the name comes from)... They were very oily and tasted bland.
I don't prefer eating salad from fool carts so I didn't try it but I tried the torshi and it was fine but tasted a bit watery.
We were two and each of us ordered two dishes and shared the fries and got the sides (for two), paying a total of 85. So the prices are fine considering the quantities.
🍃 It was quite busy (we arrived at 10 am on a Friday) but we found a table when we arrived because another guest was just finishing up. Generally guests didn't sit for too long. The tables are in the street so it's basically a street setting.
👨🏻 When you ask for the menu, they tell you its on their (facebook and instagram) page so thats where you can check what they have and see all the prices. Service was fine, the sort of service you'd expect at food carts/street restaurants.
Overall not a good experience for me, so I wouldn't...
Read moreI had an amazing breakfast experience at Ful Wahid Restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly captured the essence of traditional Middle Eastern cuisine.
One of the highlights was the wide variety of ful medames (fava beans), each prepared with different flavors and toppings to suit every taste. There were also many egg options, from classic boiled eggs to fluffy omelets packed with veggies. The fresh salads and pickles added a refreshing touch, while the crispy fries and warm bread complemented the meal perfectly.
The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with an outdoor setup that made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was quick and efficient, and everything tasted homemade.
Adding to the charm, the restaurant is located in Al-Daher, an area with a rich history making the dining experience feel even more authentic and culturally significant.
If you’re looking for a delicious and traditional breakfast with plenty of choices, this is definitely the place to go! Highly recommend. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Read moreI came here with two friends. We got two regular fool (fava beans plate) and one with egg. We also got fried eggplant and shrimp fries (no shrimp in it, just potatoes dipped in heavy batter that gives it a shrimp look). Any order comes standard with pickled turnips, pickled eggplants, onions, salad and generous amounts of bread. Taste is average for fool and eggplants. 7/10, nothing special really. Shrimp fries have a unique and very good taste. It is like crunchy Cheetos with soft potato filling. I would give it 8.5/10 for taste. Service is subpar at best. Difficult to find a place to sit. Staff are not very helpful to accommodate. So I didn’t like the atmosphere. They have many kids under 12 working, which is really sad and child abuse! Price is very cheap for the quantity. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but I would come here again ONLY for the shrimp fries. Nothing is really...
