Went here several times about 2-3 years ago. The place is quite big, air-conditioned, with good decorations & ambiance. The food is quite tasteful, allowing you to enjoy good quality of Indian/Pakistani cuisines in Cairo (which is not that easy to get). My personal favorite is the Gulab Jamun, a really spectacular dessert with the rich taste of sweetness & warmth combined in your mouth. The prices here the first time I came was quite okay considering the quality of food you get, but in time it gets more & more expensive which is quite disappointing though. Its location is nice & calm, being away from the main road. The owner himself is a good man, but it seems the quality has declined over time.

There are a couple of comments questioning the authenticity of the food. India is a large country with many regions and food styles. Here you can find authentic northern Indian cuisine. The table is set with peppers, tamarind sauce, and mint chutney sauce, so you can customize your meal with a variety of spices or flavors.

This is the bill, the prices in red are the REAL prices; which can be found on both Talabat , Elmenus AND their recently published menu on Instagram (just over a month ago). This is NOT about the money, this is about moral standards & principle values; which this restaurant seem to lack. If you're craving great Indian food in Cairo, then I'd recommend Mahraja; we always order from it but thought we'd give this place a SECOND chance, which they still failed at.

An awesome food place with a great story. Generally I review about the food and service, this one deserves a special mention- as there was a story to the food.

Very authentic, tasty Desi Indian taste, different from the fake Indian restaurants ruining Indian heritage of spices.

The owner is very caring and talked to us very nicely everytime we went. Wahid makes you feel at home. The Kadak Chai and the Samose, Desi Daal and the Pulao, Spicy Paneer - you never feel you are away from home. Along with this the owner serves you the love and care by which this place is known for.

It's a hidden gem of a place. This is my second home in Cairo.
