An update regarding the owner reply and call…. The owner Alfons called when i requested a to get in touch with the owners, It just seemed he wanted to know if Mina was rude or not and i mentioned that Mina wasn’t rude at all. Then Alfons kept mentioning that these rules has been there for ages which seriously was never mentioned to me or our whole group at all for at least a year, I would have accepted the feedback or the rules if they were only mentioned to me once, but yeah, suddenly after a year of being a regular, i get notified at the door that it’s a couples only or mixed groups.
Then the owner replies to my review that am exaggerating when i said there were only male groups inside on that day? And am stretching the story? seriously that’s lame…Yeah it sounds like you’re accepting the review in a very defensive way.
It was a mistake coming back to Zulu after what happened in January, as i went there with my GF and there were 3 males alone at the bar on a Friday or a Thursday night and they were filming everyone, and you can ask Mina and one of your guests Saber, i highlighted the situation to Mina, Then we showed Mina that he was really filming us and he saw the videos, i took the phone from that guy, deleted the videos and gave it back.. The funny part was , after doing that, Mina allowed them to stay in , Just a heads up for your rules.
Used to be one of my favorite spots in Maadi till last night. Basically am a regular and got denied to access the place last night 😂 so yeah 0 customer service for the manager Mina. He just said Thursdays and Fridays are couples only and it was never like that although there were a lot of male only groups inside. Read moreI've been to various clubs in Egypt, and I have observed that when you are a foreigner, such demeanor like a waiter raising his voice on you, or a group of them deducing, according to how you look, which part of the continent you come from even without inquiring from you, might seem disturbing yet normal,now I understand that this could be due to culture difference. BUT TODAY, I was so struck by the so called DJ at your South African restaurant, first because he put a blast volume when we were sitting next to the speaker, second I thought because he started playing 90s hip hop , I would be able to request from one of the waiters some 90s hip hop which are dance hip hop songs, and would have made my night. Instead he vehemently refused, I then decided to go and request him and if he is an upright man, he will agree that I approached him very politely. This is because I understand its work and any organisation has its policy. So i woild have accepted if he declined in a polite way,but these is exactly what he told me," I cannot play requests because when you come to this restaurant you've come to listen to my music, I know these songs, I know these songs but am not going to play them." Now If you run a business providing service and that is how you answer your customers then you're in the wrong industry, it does not matter how smart you're but trust me, soon or later your rude demeanor to customers will affect your revenue.
