Few points that didn't make it up for me, for starter the very poor display of products. If i haven't visited the website i wouldn't have known they exist. The pressure you have on the line that i have to leave immediately because of the people waiting behind makes me lose the sense of fun while buying something especially if it's pleasurable.
I won't over complicate things for you but i will start with the good products:
1-Cibbata bread was really good 4.5
2-Loaf of bread wholewheat 4
3-Baguette 3.5 ( has a really hard chew it hasn't the appropriate density from the inside)
4-Focaccia 2 ( basically it's a Baguette)
5-Cruffin 3
6-Cruffin dulce de leche 2 ( not the appropriate flavour for the filling)
7- Sticky date 3 ( there was no dates)
8-Almond croissants 2 ( i would say it was croissant)
9-Almond chocolate croissant 2 ( it's mainly pain au chocolat without the almonds)
10- Cheese croissant 2 ( no cheese whatsoever that i can taste)
11- Pecan pie 2 ( the pecan wasn't noticeable as it was crushed to small bits that it was almost not found)
12- Quiche spinach and mushroom 1 ( there was a missing flavour for the fillings )
13- Caprese sandwich 3 ( small shredded buffalo cheese was not a good idea)
I gave those ratings based on the price range you are putting for your products which you have every right to propose and me as a consumer to accept or refuse buying them.
So accordingly I gave my ratings and overall opinion based on the ratio of quality versus price.
But if it was cheaper as the retail market price for the same product in other stores it would have been different. Just a quick example if the quiche was around 15 EGP my rating would have changed from 1 to 3 out of 5. For a simple reason that i am not expecting a big mouth watering quiche for 15; but for 50 EGP it better have a wow effect which it lacked.
Thank you so much for your reply it was really...
Read moreMy experience at this establishment was not entirely satisfactory, despite the good quality of the food. The main issue lies with the outdoor seating area, where customers are surrounded by a large number of cats. Unfortunately, you canât take your eyes off your food for a second, as the cats quickly approach, even when you step away briefly.
In my case, I stood up for a moment to pay for the coffee (the service is self-service), and upon returning, I found a cat on my daughterâs plate. She is 5 years old and was visibly frightened, not knowing how to react. I had to ask for a replacement plate, as I believe that if the establishment allows cats in its space, it should also take responsibility for any issues they cause.
I mentioned this to the owner, explaining that it was impossible to eat comfortably with the cats almost âhuntingâ for our food, and the response I received was: âThatâs fine, not everyone is a cat lover.â To clarify, my husband is a veterinarian, and we are indeed animal lovers, but that does not mean the cats should have free access to customersâ food. In my opinion, this response showed a lack of responsibility and empathy toward the customer. While I appreciate a love for animals, I believe the customerâs experience should always be a priority.
As a suggestion, it would be helpful to implement some measures to improve the experience, such as: Posting signs to inform customers that the space is âpet-friendlyâ or âcat-friendly.â Providing guidelines for customers, such as asking them not to feed the cats to avoid attracting them, and sharing information about the times the establishment feeds them. These actions would not only educate both customers and cats, but also contribute to a more pleasant experience for everyone.
In summary, while the food was good, the overall experience was negatively affected by the uncontrolled presence...
Read moreWell we'll well, what can I say. Based on the recommendations I've got, it was a little bit exceeding my expectations. The place is hidden as there is no obvious or clear sign to the place, as I was told it was intentionly done to complete the "Getting lost in Maadi" experience đ.
I love it when you go into a Bakery and start smelling the freshly baked goodies of the place, seeing everything around you such as different type of breads and different type of sweets and pastries getting out of the baking process, always delivers the feeling of "I've got to try eveeeeerything in this place" đ€€ and to hell with diet now đ
The place is mainly operated by Egyptians and some foreigners, you place your order and take your plate, pay and go outside to stay in a look like western style, sharing seats and tables with others.
Dogs, cats, trees, lots of plants around you, the feeling you get when you spend a day in the forrest or the woods. My type of place as I camped in many forrests before. â€ïž
Enough with the environment, let's dig deep with the food.
I've tried the spinach quiche, which was yummy, with balanced salt, a little bit hard with cutting the quiche dough, but it was tasty.
The everything bread or pain, was very very very tasty, loved it.
I took a baguette bread & olive bread to go and omg, its irresistibly tasty specially the olive bread with the black olive filling đ.
Grabbed 2 chocolate chip cookies and.... Hands down, perfect.
Would I go again, helllll yeh, might go a little bit earlier next time, to try more and more goodies.
I love the place, the staff, the bakeries,...
