Sizzler Steak House — Restaurant in Cairo

I was recommended Sizzler when we went to visit Madinaty Open Air Mall and given it had great reviews ⭐️, thought why not!

Came here for Dinner 🍽️ with friends on a Friday night. As such, here is what you need to consider;

📝 Reservations - they only do walk ins on a first served basis and it was packed! We put our names down and had to wait about 2 hours before being seated. Remember that unlike 🇦🇺, people in 🇪🇬 don’t order, eat, leave - they tend to take their time so the waits can be long.

🗣️ Seating - The restaurant should employ an SMS notification system so that when there is a table open, it messages ppl on the list to make their way, as opposed to having to literally hang around for 2+ hours waiting for the hostess to yell out your name.

🥩 Food - Because of how busy it gets, our Medium Well steak came out as a medium rare. They did reheat it for us and the service was great whenever we needed something. I know the food here is usually 👍🏻, it’s just that they are not accustomed to the demand.

🪑Seating - Inside is much better than outside. I feel outside is too dark and the ambience inside is much better

Sizzler Steak House delivers on what it promises. Solid, flavorful steaks with generous portions. It is juicy with and tender, cooked just right. You can tell they use quality cuts and take care with grilling.

the real standout side was the spinach gratin, creamy, rich and perfectly seasoned, it added a comforting, gourmet touch to the meal.

Resturant is warm and inviting, with a classic steak house feel. Wooden accents, comfortable seating, and soft lighting create a relaxed dining experience. It’s family-friendly but still suitable for a casual date or small gathering.

Staff were friendly and efficient despite the rush. We were seated after a noticeable wait, but once at the table, our server was attentive without being overbearing. Food came out in a reasonable time after ordering and staff stayed pleasant even under pressure.

Good value for money, it feels fair around EGP 1000 per person, depending on your order and drinks.

We came here for a birthday dinner and expected excellent food and service but we received the absolute opposite. We received our food and began eating when one of the people in our group spit out a hair ball that was in her steak sauce. A chunk of hair. We reported the issue to the staff and they began their apology with “this isn’t hair it’s from the tray don’t worry” and then apologized after. The manager insisted to bring a new one when we wanted to just cancel the one order and he insisted to give us 3 complementary cakes after we refused because we didn’t want to waste food. We asked for the check and we look at it and it says “700 pounds”. At this point we were happy so we felt bad and ate the cake. The waiter then comes back running and says “sorry there was a mistake with the check” and takes the check before we could pay. Then he came back with a check and no compensation other than the cakes. We ask for a compensation for the steak that we didn’t eat at all and he continued to gaslight us and say that it wasn’t hair in the food it was the hairs of the mushroom which does not exist.
