Bosporus is one of the most famous Turkish restaurants in Egypt, known for its unique location in Madinaty’s Open Air Mall. The setting is beautiful, with a great view that adds to the dining experience. However, my recent visits have left me disappointed as the food quality and portions have noticeably declined, which is shocking considering how much I used to enjoy this place.
Food (★★★☆☆) The ingredients are still high quality, but the taste and portions are just average now—far from what they used to be. The prices, unfortunately, are extremely high, even compared to the general inflation in Egypt. I’d recommend sticking to the pidas, as the dough is well-made and tasty. The rest of the menu feels overpriced for what you get.
Service (★★★★★) The biggest positive here is the service. The staff, especially the manager, are attentive and professional, even when the restaurant is packed. They handle the crowds well, which is impressive given how busy it gets.
Atmosphere (★★★☆☆) The location and view are fantastic, but the place is always crowded, noisy, and filled with smoke as we can’t really find an non smoking area and they serve shisha .. Be prepared to wait for a table, as there’s often a waiting list.
Final Verdict It’s sad to see a once-great restaurant decline in quality while keeping prices unreasonably high. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I hope Bosporus takes feedback seriously and works on improving its menu, chefs, and portions. At these prices, customers deserve better .. if you can’t reduce your prices at-least give me my money worth.

I recently visited Bospors Restaurant for their Ramadan breakfast buffet, and it was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for a heartfelt iftar. The staff greeted everyone with genuine smiles and hospitality, making us feel like honored guests. Their attentiveness and kindness truly embodied the spirit of Ramadan.
The buffet spread was a feast for the senses! Bospors went above and beyond to curate a lavish selection of traditional and contemporary dishes. Highlights included succulent grilled meats, flavorful lentil soup, creamy hummus, fresh salads, and an array of mezze that melted in the mouth. The desserts were divine—think flaky baklava, rich kunafa, and creamy rice pudding that left everyone at the table swooning. Every dish tasted freshly prepared, seasoned to perfection, and beautifully presented.
What truly stood out, though, was the **staff’s espicially Mr,Nour *. They were courteous, quick to refill drinks, and even took the time to explain dishes to those unfamiliar with Ramadan specialties. Their warmth made the experience feel personal and memorable. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate Ramadan with loved ones, Bospors Restaurant is a must-visit. The combination of mouthwatering food, generous portions, and outstanding service is unbeatable. Don’t miss this gem—it’s a culinary...
Read moreI went to have lunch at Bosporus with my fiancée over the weekend and our experience was truly beyond expectations! First, the view of the restaurant is breathtaking and everyone working there was very helpful and welcoming. They let us choose the table we prefer and we chose a table next to the view and our waiter Mohamed Anwar guided us through the menu and answered all our questions in a very friendly manner. We followed his recommendations and he was absolutely right. We got the potato soup which was yummy and special. They also serve it with some fresh bread. We also got some fresh juice which was nice and refreshing. I got the beef Et Sote as the main course and my fiancée got the Halep Kebab from the grills and both were according to Mohamed’s recommendations and we were so happy that we listened to him! The food came very fast and hot and the meat was well cooked and supper yummy! I highly recommend both dishes! The portions also were very big and a good value for the money. I highly recommend Bosporus in Open Air Mall if you are looking for some authentic Turkish food and a very welcoming atmosphere without...
