Three of my friends and I went to the Chinese Muslim and it was honestly a great experience. One of my friends was late so it took us a while to order but the staff were super understanding and cordial. We ordered 2 ramen bowls (one chicken and one beef) and a dumpling plate as well as some glass noodles and we were told the food would come out in 30 minutes but it was served in around 15! We asked for a ladel and extra bowls because we were going to share and they were provided.
The ramen had an extremely mild spice, which is perfect for those who don’t have a high spice tolerance and prefer non-spicy food, but it was enough where it complimented it beautifully. The soup was flavourful and so were the noodles, the bowls came out hot and fresh and the chicken was great though the beef was slightly tough. The dumplings were absolutely incredible, they were really fresh, the meat was tender on the inside and super flavourful. The oil dip it was served with (as well as the one already at the table) was so addictive!! They were by far our favourite for all 4 of us. The ramen as well!
Then we were served the glass noodles and they were great. The sauce was absolutely incredible and super tasty, it came out hot and fresh as well. The texture of the noodles was really chewy. I liked it personally, but the rest of my friends found it difficult to chew but agreed that it tasted delicious. If you’re a texture type of person then I would advise that you keep that in mind if you consider ordering the glass noodles.
The portions are respectable! We had ordered one of the rice plates but we were so full after sharing the 3 plates and one side between all 4 of us that we cancelled it. We asked if they had started making it and only cancelled it because it wasn't.
Overall, the experience was great and we really enjoyed our time at the Chinese Restaurant and we will...
Read moreI have went there abt 4 times now, and I gotta say I love Everything about the place, the service is kind and we dont have to wait for long. My problem with asian restaurants was usually the atmosphere and decorations. But this place's decorations (the nast city branch) is just amazingly accurate. The colors, the paper lanterns, the calligraphy on curtains, it's beautiful. And the islamic music and songs brings the whole vibe even closer. And for the food, I always order meat noodle soup, it's cheap and one portion is more than enough for two people to share, the soup is very healing, the noodles are the perfect chewy texture, the aroma of the dish is spectacular. We ordered dumplings 3 times out of the 4 times i went there, it's perfect and tasty, we had fried rice in the other time and it was really really good and u can feel all the flavors in one bite. I also recommend the fried noodles (chow mein) we ate it the first time we went to the restaurant and it was very chewy and the sauce tests amazing. For alot of people this place might be a good restaurant they know but for me this place will always have a place in my heart, everything about it is sweet and welcoming. I live 3 hours away and I always look forward the next time I eat there again. I will always be grateful I got to know a sweet person who showed me the place, and i will always be grateful that such place even exist ♡ I hope the new branch holds into the decorations the nasr city branch has, it's one of the things that make this restaurant stand out and be one of a...
Read moreAug 2024: this is a good find and a hole in the wall. Before you think this is a bad review, I will explain why the 3 stars off the get go. It does not harm me that you are a local family place. But I don't see signs of spotless cleanness. Or interest from service staff. Here you have it. Also some prices reached 888 Egyptian pounds. Average was 288 to 499 Egyptian pounds. Except for the ramen soup was 160. Those prices sounds a little high for this location, this decoration, this service from this staff. You can see Chinese people eating there. A good sign. I ordered their staple ramen noodle soup. It looks like it is hand made noodles, balanced but the noodle was tough.2 pieces of beef. that is a very poor amount of beef. Good size in a large bowl. I would give it 8/10. I recommend it. And also dry beef noodles. Same noodles but great taste of soy and oyster sauce. My friend actually liked that tough stretchy taste of the noodle and took it as something different than spaghetti. The rest of their noodle dishes come soaked in (dripping) sauces. I saw it on multiple tables. That's why I stress...
