Club 159 — Restaurant in Makadi Bay

Fort Arabesque is a pretty good hotel, maybe we were there when it was emptier more than normally, but my problem is with the club 159, we went there because there was nothing going on anywhere in the hotel(which is ok, its not party hotel) so we ordered one cuba libre with my friend, still in the hours where the club should be open, they told its closed but after some talking they gave us our drinks, but the drinks were just some old colas. After couple minutes we saw people down at the bar still ordering and getting their shots and orders(mostly arabic) after our asking why we can have something the people working there just smiled and left So, Iam not used to write stuff like this, I did my review about something one time in my life, Iam dissapointed about the people and everything there Big minus...

Horibble attitude towards solo female travellers. Staff member behaved very unprofessionell, tried to get my contact information and after declining got personally offended. While the other waiter repeatedly made unwanted avances towards my mother, even brought her a flower to the beach. After that we actively avoided walking by the Club 159, but even that didnt stop them from making us uncomfortable when they walked by at the beach. I would not recommend...

Wir waren auf Einladung des Hotels im Club 159 und aufgrund der Karte und Photos voller Vorfreude. Um es vorweg zu sagen: Das Restaurant erfüllt in keinem Fall die an sich selbst gestellten Ansprüche.

Die Weinauswahl ist identisch mit der in der Beach Bar vom Fort Arabesque. Der Wein kommt auch hier lauwarm an den Tisch und wird dann nach Aussage des Personals „im Weinkühler schnell runtergekühlt“.

Wir haben 2 Cocktails als Aperitif bestellt und wollten gerade das gereichte Brot probieren, da kamen schon Vorspeise und der Wein - Ich bat um weniger Tempo.

Die Vorspeise war ebenfalls noch nicht gegessen, da kam schon der Hauptgang. Mein Steak war kein Rinderfilet sondern ein Rumpsteak, Brokkoli und Kartoffeln waren völlig zerkocht und nüchtern. Die Dorade meiner Freundin war gut, aber ebenfalls sehr uninspiriert, was Gewürze angeht.

Positiv sei der Ausblick und die Live-Musik erwähnt. Der Abend war in Ordnung, aber Geld würde ich für dieses Restaurant nicht ausgeben. Dafür ist die Leistung der Küche einfach zu schlecht. Aus meiner Sicht ist es keine Option, wenn man sich abseits der Küche des Fort Arabesque „etwas besonderes“ gönnen möchte. Wir haben sicher auch nicht zu hohe Erwartungen, das Essen vom Buffet im zugehörigen Hotel bietet reichlich Auswahl...
