Manzoku Asian Restaurant — Restaurant in Makadi Bay

Our second restaurant visit during stay in Sunrise Makadi Resort. I would not call this an Asian restaurant, but rather Chinese. Given ubiquity of Westernized Chinese cuisine around the world, I'll assume everyone is familiar with it. Dish selection mimics a cut down version of typical Chinese fast food menu. Selection is quite limited and given size of our large group, we actually ordered every single thing on the menu. Sushi - looks like plastic version used for decorating, tastes about the same with exception of being eatable Spring roll - frozen supermarket version cooked in oil. I'll give them credit for not microwaving it Chicken satay - chicken is very good, but sauce is frozen supermarket version Salat - eatable, not exciting but not disgusting either

Main course actually has good ingredients and a lot of potential. Problem is that every single dish, except sweet and sour chicken, comes with same sauce with only variations being an amount of flour, salt and pepper added. All main courses looked and tasted more of less the same.

Service, as everywhere else in this hotel, was excellent and homelike. I'll finish up on positive note, since their desert was amazing. It does not look like much and does not taste like "Asian" version, but it does taste very good. They added their own twist to fried banana and fried ice cream - with both being outstanding.

One of the best ala carte restaurants at Sunrise Royal Makadi Resort. Of course the food is delicious but also the service from the entire restaurant staff is great, namely Mr. Ahmed Sayed always has a smile on his face, nothing is too much trouble and he always makes you feel welcome. The resort is great, but you should avoid this restaurant. The sushi is the worst sushi I ever ate. That's not sushi at all, honestly. The sea food tastes like it just came out of the can. If the sea bass main dish will be ok I may give it one more star. Letter edit: The sea bass is ok. Nothing...
