Only 3 star for me id give it 5/10 i had high hopes for this place as apparently it is an Indian chef and the pictures didnt look bad I had the murg massala tastes was ok the chicken let it down it was very bland you get about 7 smallish pieces 2 of witch I couldn't eat because of the cartilage and fat that I complained about . I had boiled rice and the nann bread that was fine but the rice was stale . And the equivalent of bombay potatoes which where just some spuds with herbs no sauce or flavour some where barley cooked but acceptable just i Asked for medium as was recovering from salmonella poisoning it was more like a hot ish madras definitely not medium Considering he's an Indian chef I would of expected alot better standard especially with the chicken. The menu is a typical English curry menu these are traditional English dishes they are very basic I eat alot of these curry's in the UK the chicken I suspect wasn't breast either all massala dishes generally are made with breast why you wouldn't use breast I don't know I didn't ask about the chicken because I assumed it would be as an Indian chef would use breast no matter what country they are in Iv been to an Indian restaurant in luxor whom the chef is Egyptian trained by an Indian chef I give that 9/10 all day long the only good thing was the price 570. And if you're looking to drink alcohol the prices are ridiculous 1 sakara is 200 that's more than you pay in the marina with tax and service and a steigenberger hotel you can walk 5 minutes up the road to a restaurant and get one for 60 in the same area I would of expected around 80-120 the same as the marina and a bit more on the food I dread to think how much the wine is I understand from a business point of view some places make there money on drinks but for a local beer that is theft even if its part of the hotel as it it's not the hilton ! there is definitely room for improvement here I was hoping to return regularly as im not a tourist but it's unlikely I did leave 100 tip as the service wasn't...

Three of us had a lovely meal here. We each had something different.. Main dishes - 1 lamb Madrasi, 1 lamb achari, 1 mixed lamb chops and chicken bhuna. Rice - 2 pilau rice. Bread - 1 keema naan, 1 garlic naan. Vegetable side dishes - Aloo jeera, 1 sukha aloo baigan. Drunks - 2 small water and 1 Sakara Beer. Everything was cooked well, they checked several times how spicy we wanted our dishes and everything came out perfectly. Dishes are cooked to order, so be prepared to wait a little but the wait is worth it. All the dishes were flavourful except the Aloo Jeera, the potatoes have little seasoning except the cumin seeds and this was the only dish that I would not have again. The drinks are overpriced but then being attached to a hotel, this is to be expected. Service was absolutley excellent, the place is very clean, the seating comfortable and the evening view outdoors across the the illuminated Hotel, is lovely. The total bill for three of us was 1,200egp including service and tip. Given the overall quality of the meal and surroundings, I would say that it was fair. I will be returning here. I have posted pictures of the menu and please note that the restaurant is only open from 7pm daily and when we went, it was cash only, no card...

Couldn't find this on TripAdvisor, but it is part of the Grand Hotel and not easy to find unless you know where it is! Since the Indian restaurant at the Marina doesn't seem to exist any more, we tried here. I have to say they food was actually really good and they have pretty much all the usual dishes you would expect. I really enjoyed the lamb sheek kebab, and the curries were also good - medium spicy was more than hot enough for me. Shame about the location really - you have to walk 200m to go to the toilet - and I feel that most clientelle are from the hotel itself, but it is a little bit of a hidden gem. We ate here twice on holiday and were happy to walk the mile and a half from the Hilton! The Chef was also very nice and always came out to see us and check we enjoyed our food -...

Fantastic Indian restaurant, .excellent food and excellent staff and delivery times. They have an Indian chef. Everything is low heat spice unless you ask for hotter. And then they deliver baby. Only problem is that in the extreme heat of the summer the AC doesn't work properly! Simple thing that they need to sort out and why they don't get the 4 stars. It's an issue boys - please sort it out! They have in effect 2 menus. One is an all inclusive menu for hotel guests in the near by Grand Resort. Small portions and not up to the mark. However the additions are much better and very reasonably priced. I tried both together on 3 separate occasions. Lovely!
