I’m writing this as an US citizen who lives in Europe and has many resorts like this under their belt. I hope to share up to date photos of the family jacuzzi suites and tips I wish I had before booking. My family and I recently stayed at this resort. It is an easy 10 or less taxi ride from Hurghada’s international airport. I booked here for a few reasons. Heated pools, waterpark area, proximity to airport, 2 bedroom suites and suite with jacuzzi availability. On arrival we were seated in the lobby and given a form to fill out and cool towels. We were given an information sheet with incorrect times for various activities and pool hours. After about 20 minutes we were escorted to our room, 5002 Family Jacuzzi suite located on ground floor. Do not accept this room without prior inspection. The patio was filthy and furniture was scattered around haphazardly. The jacuzzi was not working. This issue was reported to the front desk. Long story short, after complaining again the next morning with video proof, we were given the upstairs Family Jacuzzi Suite, I believe 5003. This room is the proper room shown on the website as the Family Jacuzzi suite. I will include photos of both. Both rooms could use a refresh but were generally clean. Aside from putting us in a proper room, we were provided with a fruit basket and bottle of wine complementary. Because the pools close at “sunset”, 17:00 in March, we enjoyed being about to use the jacuzzi and patio to relax together. This resort is all inclusive. I never knew what to order really, so I would just ask for a fruity drink with alcohol and they would make one. There are several small bar areas set up all around outside so getting a drink is easy. You’d be hard pressed to get a buzz on their drinks but they were to be expected. I did often see employees walking around passing out drinks however we were never approached to be offered a drink while at the buffet or by the pool or beach, so I’m not sure how that works. We were constantly harassed by companies and the spa selling all sorts of packages though. The food was as you can expect from a buffet. However we had a great experience at the Asian a la Carte restaurant! You have to make a reservation the day prior, and everything was included. The service was good and the food was tasty. The beach area is small but has tons of loungers. It is a somewhat rocky beach that is best for swimming. There’s a long dock over the water where the seafood restaurant is (extra cost) as well as loungers and an adults only area with day beds. We found the pools to be clean and well maintained. The warmest pools were the ones closest to the main building near the kiddie pool. There are lifeguards present during opening hours. The waterpark slides close for 2 hours midday then close for the day at 4. Around 12 you’re able to use the soft serve ice cream machines. I believe they stayed available until 4 or 5. There’s an arcade that costs money as well. WiFi was good. This resort is just across the street from a shopping area. There’s a shop in the lobby that I believe was selling replica bags if that’s your thing. The lobby area is large with lots of seating and live music was being played one evening. Theres a bar in the lobby too. There’s also a kids club, but my son wasn’t able to use it because we had the incorrect hours. Overall it was a nice stay. I wish we could have stayed longer but has other places to see.

This hopefully is going to be the helpful review you’re looking for 😊 I stayed from July 3rd, 2025 till July 6th, 2025. First the receptionist Mr Ayman is so gentle and helpful. He supported us during the whole stay. We arrived early at around 9 AM. We were offered to have breakfast and proceed with the checking in process. The breakfast options are repeated daily, however all what you or your kids might need will be available. Lunch is different daily, but did not have much options and I don’t think they invest deeply in it and later on I will explain why. As for the dinner it’s different daily. At the start of the day they leave a stand note on the entrance to the main restaurant saying what the buffet will be for the night, options like Italian, Egyptian or International and stuff like that. Breakfast is from 7 AM to 10 AM, Lunch is from 1 PM to 3 PM and Dinner is from 7 PM to 10 PM. Snacks I believe started from 12 PM by the pool and lasted till 5 PM I think, so because at that time we were by the beach, we ate the first time in the restaurant near the pool (which will be nice to save the walking till the main restaurant), but on the next days we chose to check the lunch’s options at the main restaurant which I enjoyed more. The beach is AMAZING, yes there are rocky areas and the part at the end of the resort has different heights, but this was the first time for me to enjoy the resort’s beach more then its pools. The resort has 6 pools: 1 is private pool for rooms connected to it only, 2 have maximum height of 160 CM and 3 have maximum height of 120 CM. The pools are small and because of that they feel crowded with no much space which I didn’t enjoy. It would have been nice if there was 1 pool with maximum height 190 CM and to be bigger than the others. I believe the resort is so much family and kids friendly and that’s why they have the pools like that. I didn’t use the Aqua park so can’t comment on them, but I guess people enjoyed them. The resort is relatively small, any walking will be within 5 minutes. Problem is there’s not any shaded spaces to walk either to your room or to the restaurant. There are I think 6 other different cuisines other than the main one. You get to book the one you want for the next day’s dinner. Their options are like Seafood, Asian, Italian and others I don’t remember 😂. We booked seafood for the 2nd day’s dinner, but found out that we have to pay for the main course which didn’t suit us at the time and we chose to attend the main restaurant’s dinner. I didn’t attend the Animation team’s shows so can’t comment much, but I guarantee they are all friendly. I didn’t once meet any of the stuff who was not smiling or rude. They ALL CARED DEEPLY that I was enjoying every second of my time! 🥰🥰🥰

It’s was our second time and we were happy to come back! BUT… RESERVATION: Everything start from reservation. I wrote all our requests in Booking and hotel was confirmed. (We want to have the same or similar room like last time. Far from evening program. Quite room with 2 separate beds or king size bed + sofa) Next day I receive the call from reception Mr Karim and again he asked about my room requests. I said. Later on I received again call from other receptionist. CHECK IN: During check in we find out that our requests are not in the system and Mr Ayman try to handle fast. We were waiting. But no one informed us that in this part of the building continues renovation. ROOM: The first our room was with one king size bed without sofa. Yes, it’s was renovated but I think they still not finished. No chairs and tables in the balcony. No chairs in the room. And sure we asked to change the room at least for 2 separate beds. We received room 1247 Room is new but was not clean well after the renovation. Wardrobe was so dusty and we find this out when I saw that my clothes are dirty. Chairs in the balcony was also dusty and no table to sit out and drink coffee. THE MOST WORSE THAT EVERY-NIGHT AT 11pm START RENOVATION WORK!!! We asked for quite room because we are sleeping with my son around 10pm. Up of our room we listen: The sound of a hammer, drills and how furniture is moving. After 3 times calling to the reception it’s stop around 00:30 ! Room next to us was also complain about the noise. And second minus that the entrance from our side was close. So we should back in the beginning of the corridor go down and again pass all building. This was so uncomfortable!!! If I know in advance I will not stay in this part of the hotel. FOOD: In general everything was good. Big variety of dishes. But not in the kids corner. There is everything the same everyday. And pasta penne was not cooked well. Breakfast and lunch - PERFECT! But during dinner all meat (beef) was cold. Doesn’t matter if it’s from the chef cut or in the main tray. This was strange. ENTERTAINMENT: Animation was friendly. We enjoyed volleyball and Aqua Gym. Mini disco was very good as well. FACILITIES: The main problem of all hotels - RESERVATION of SUNBEDS. Unfortunately here is the same. Not possible to find place. But recreations doing them best to help you. Just need to ask them. Area, pools and Aqua Park are clean. Good control from the staff in Aqua Park. Safe for kids.

We had the most amazing experience at Aqua Joy Sunrise Resort, and I cannot recommend this place enough. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.

Location: The resort is perfectly located – very close to the airport, which makes arrival and departure stress-free, and also well-connected to everything else you might want to see or do in the area.

Food: The food was absolutely fantastic. Every meal was a pleasure, with so much variety and incredible flavors. You can tell how much effort the restaurant staff put into preparing everything fresh and delicious. A huge thank you to all of them – not only for the wonderful food on display, but also for the hard work happening behind the scenes to make sure guests always have the best experience. I have to mention Islam in the main dining room, his attention and care for us really made every meal even more enjoyable.

Reception & Front Desk: The front desk team deserves a special mention for their kindness and helpfulness throughout our stay. A heartfelt thank you to Karim, Doha, and Ayman for their warm welcome and assistance whenever we needed it, and to Mahmoud, the reservation manager, whose professionalism and support made everything smooth and easy for us. Their friendliness truly set the tone for our holiday from the very first moment.

Staff & Service: The staff truly make this place special. Every single person we encountered was kind, warm, and genuinely focused on making our stay unforgettable. The cleaning staff for our room (2103) deserve a special mention – thank you for keeping everything spotless and comfortable for us throughout our stay.

Animation Team: The animation team is simply outstanding. They bring so much energy, joy, and fun into every day. My son loved the activities so much that he didn’t even want to go home – which says everything about how fantastic the team is with kids.

Pool & Beach Staff: The pool staff are absolute professionals. They are always attentive, making sure everyone is safe and that the area stays organized.

And then there is Ahmed, the lifeguard at the beach – someone who truly deserves to be highlighted on his own. Ahmed was a ray of sunshine every single day. His watchful care made us feel safe, his small gestures of kindness made us feel welcome, and his words always carried warmth and positivity.

Ahmed, this is a personal thank you to you: you are not just a lifeguard, you are the heart of the beach. You made us feel at home from the very first moment, you looked after us as if we were family, and you reminded us how much a genuine smile and a kind word can mean. You are an irreplaceable part of this resort, and we are deeply grateful for everything you did for us. Please know that we will always remember you, and we hope to see you again when we return.

Overall, I can only speak in superlatives about Aqua Joy Sunrise Resort. It’s rare to find a place that combines great location, delicious food, professional service, and such an extraordinary team of people. We will definitely be back – thank you for making our holiday so special!

They ALL CARED DEEPLY that I was enjoying every second of my...
