Had my first paella at El Bodegón a few years ago, gave myself a treat again on 7/30/2025, l called to inquire if l could come in with sandals and shorts, the owner answered the phone, she kindly said, l will accommodate you, l felt awkward because is an elegant restaurant, but she came to my table and reassured me to be welcomed.
My paella took the usual to prepare, waiters were prompt to furnish me with bread and butter as l waited, wish l had a glass of red wine, but l am abstaining from any alcoholic beverages, so l had water, their water is served in a spotless and clear bottle, quickly served.
My paella arrived and it was very tasty, exquisite, fresh and my tummy was very happy that l treated for such a wonderful meal, my dessert and coffee were perfect, the almond cake was extremely delicious, best dessert l have ever had, the coffee fantastic.
Paellas are normally served for two but l went alone, so l brought half home, and enjoyed it the following day.
Waiter brought two receipts, one for $130.00 dollars and the other one for $59.95 which was the correct amount, the service is superb so l tipped the server a few dollars more.
