States Diner — Restaurant in San Salvador

I loved the design and feel of the location. Parking was ample. Service was prompt and friendly. Looked to be aiming to be an American style diner so I tried some classics. Tried the double cheeseburger and added bacon with fries, a strawberry shake, a coke and a regular waffle.

Burger was flavorless, surprising how that was possible. It was juicy warm and cheese perfectly melted but the meat had 0 flavor. Sure it was unseasoned or underseasoned but even the meat itself had no flavor. If I wasn't for the mustard I would of though there was a issue with my taste buds. Fries were nice and crispy and delicious. Strawberry milkshake was delicious. Waffle was extremely plain. Butter was Ice cold and waffle warm. Waffle wasn't hot enough to melt the ice cold butter. Even with syrup it couldn't redeem itself. Chili was flavorful.

Food could be way, way better. Decor is great, service is good, and more importantly the humanitarian work from what the signs on the wall are definitely something to support. I just wish the food was enough to...

Great Spot – Loved the Shrimburger!

I had an awesome time at State Diner. The food was super tasty, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. My favorite dish was definitely the Shrimburger it was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and just something different in the best way.

The staff was really friendly and made the whole experience even better. They were attentive without being overbearing, and you could tell they really care about the customers.

Amazing, cozy, relaxed and fun place. Lots of food and desserts to choose from, authentic US flavor. Extremely pleased and highly recommended. We'll continue coming here.
