I was soooo disappointed this time after revisiting Akkoo when l returned from America.For the last 4years and every year l come to Ethiopia l tell me friends and family we must visit one of my favorite restaurants in Churchill ! .....but today when l came to feast with friends ....Oh my ! I say ..did they get a new Chef ? The food has lost its previous great taste 😔. Everything was blah and bland . When l asked the waiter if he could ask the chef to make my Tibs juicer....even just add a little water . They refused . They never did that before . Akkoo used to be flexible , and accommodating and genuinely wanting your experience to be a great one....but NOT ANYMORE ! AKKOO standards have dropped and sadly to say the food is lousy....and this is coming from a 10 year diaspora ! A true connoisseur of Ethiopian cuisine ! I hope AKKOO reevaluates , reinvests and begins again to care about the peoples heart for best tasting Traditional food !....or invest in something...

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who guided me through the menu and made excellent recommendations.

I'm disappointed to share that my recent visit to this restaurant was less than satisfactory. We were a group of five and faced several issues during our experience. To begin with, some of our orders were incorrect and had to be changed three times before they were finally served correctly. When we requested cold water, we were informed that the restaurant does not serve it. They mentioned that they neither refrigerate water nor have ice available to cool drinks, which was particularly frustrating on a hot day. They couldn’t provide enough glasses for our group and gave us only one to share among the five of us, stating they had run out. Although they claimed to be busy, the number of waiters on duty was many. I have to say the food tasted great once the orders were corrected but service spolied the...
