KAZ Sushi & Japanese Fusion Restaurant — Restaurant in Addis Ababa

Stunning place and view. Very sweet staff and amazing that there were finally so many creative sushi roll options in Addis Ababa. The other Japanese dishes were also really good and presentation was on point!

Few minor comments but I have to put a disclaimer that this place just opened a few days ago and perhaps the staff is just getting used to everything still..

Service: Really really good! Extremely polite and well trained. Faster than most restaurants in Ethiopia. Just didn't expect to be waiting for our bottle of water for so long and the wine glasses + forks and other cutlery that we did not use were not removed from the table fast enough, crowding the table. Especially the glasses were really in the way. But again this is something really minor and I'm sure as time passes the restaurant will be even more perfect. Because even other small details like: asking if they can take a plate or a bag hanger are very well covered 👏

Food: portions are pretty small but that is to be expected from a restaurant of this quality. Unfortunately there was quite some contusion between what was served and what was written in the menu. For example the menu mentions 4 pieces of the Chili Shrimp Skewers, but instead of 4 skewers, only 4 pieces of shrimp (so two skewers) were served. The nice staff did compensate for this afterwards but something to keep in your mind...

What an amazing experience. The most authentic sushi in Addis by far. Finally somewhere, where I can enjoy the best sushi time and time again. Very fair price for the quality of food and service. I can't wait to go back again. We went with a small group to celebrate my firrnds birthday and we couldn't be happier! The Black Dragon Roll with its decadent eel, the Rocky Roll with its tasty prawn 🍤 and not to mention the fresh salmon on the Alaska roll that melts in your mouth. For people that don't enjoy sushi, there were many non sushi option like the karaage chicken and the chimichuri steak. And that's not all, the Bailey's cheesecake and the mango mousse were to die for! And don't get me started on the specially crafted cocktails. I personally enjoyed...
