Friendship Park in Addis Ababa (የወዳጅነት ፓርክ) is a green crown that adorns the Ethiopian capital, a garden that embodies the beauty of nature in the embrace of civilization. Here is a tribute befitting its charm:
O garden of friendship and brotherhood, You are the outpouring of beauty on the land of harmony and encounter.
You embrace the sky with your towering trees, And the earth is filled with your dancing flowers, like enchanting dreams in harmony and accord. You are skilled at telling the tale of beauty: Your fountains compose poems of water, And your walkways quench the soul's breath amidst the shadows of the tranquil branches. There, where families laugh, and children paint joy with the colors of happiness, and where Ethiopian coffee quenches the heart's thirst with the fragrance of authenticity.
You are not just a green patch, but a spacious bosom where people of all colors gather, a paradise that creates a democracy of joy, and a haven of tranquility in the heart of the crowded old city.
You are a story of friendship between two peoples, sprouting like ears of corn on the land of Abeba. You have become a symbol of unity and a symbol that embodies, with its lush greenery and vitality, the spirit of Ethiopia: authentic, friendly, and eternal. Peace be upon you, paradise of hearts and festival of breaths!
Why is it so beautiful? Artistic Design: A blend of modern architecture and traditional Ethiopian touches. Its enchanting nature: artificial lakes, cascading waterfalls, and more than 300 plant species. The spirit of unity: Built as a symbol of Ethiopian-Chinese friendship, it has become a meeting place for all cultures. Its events: art exhibitions, concerts, and innovative play areas for children.

Read moreThere is no question "Wedajenet Park" is one of a great place to visit in the heart of Addis Ababa, it is beautifully built. The employees are also great on providing customer service, however the only reason I gave 4 STARS for the park is that I'm not happy on the rules about a camera. I had a personal camera which I plan to have some memories. The employees at the gate stop me to have my camera inside the park unless I payed the package rate that is not reasonable price in my suggestion.I think whoever run the park should have some kinds of fare rule regarding the use of the camera for personal use and business use. Charging that much money for just personal photo shot is not fare. Personal camera users should be allowed to enter the park with no fee or very little fee. I hope this is going to be improved and visitors 'll enjoy the park more. Thank you for building such a beautiful place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and keep up the good...
