SMASH BURGERS — Restaurant in Addis Ababa

This is one of my favorite burger joints in Addis but service is trash at this place which takes away the whole experience. Be prepared to wait for an hour for your burgers and even more in rush hours. The staff should also be a bit friendlier.

I recommend for you to order prior via phone (if you’re the dine in type) and go or get it delivered where you are if you wanna avoid the hassle.

The burger is nice and juicy, has good ingredients (they have different kind of pickles, which i appreciate) and it’s also quite affordable. I have seen some inconsistencies, but to avoid that don’t go during lunch and dinner.

So, I came here because of the 5-star hype, and I’ll say this: the burgers live up to it—delicious and super clean. No complaints about the food at all. If you’re coming strictly to eat, you’ll be happy.

But the vibe? Not so much. The place was crazy crowded and loud, and on top of that, it was hot as hell inside. I couldn’t tell if I was sweating because of the spicy burger or just fighting for air. Not the chill burger hangout I expected.

Honestly, it felt more like a stressful rave with fries.

They have good burger, I personally tried cheese burger. You can taste how fresh the meat is and the bun is soft not soggy. And the price is really fair. The servers were nice as well. But my issue is the over place. I don’t know, maybe they have way too many orders or they are way understaffed but it took forever for our burgers to comes out. Roughly over 45min to an hour. If there is a way to fix it, it would really be a game change. They might lose customers...
