Casa Haga — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

It was quite crowded when we visited around May 2022, so the service speed was understandable. However, the waiter assured us that the food will come soon and that it adhered to the dietary needs as one person in the party of 4 people was allergic to a specific ingredient. When the food arrived, it was significantly smaller than the order had suggested and almost every dish contained the allergen. Thus one person in the party was left quite hungry after a long wait. When we received the bill, it implied more food than we could account for and we ended up getting a discount from the owner or manager, it was unclear who he was at the time.

The experience ended up rather poor, however I believe that a lot could be improved by limiting the amount of people seated at the premise thus reducing the traffic and the related issues. Additionally, it is important to ensure that the staff can give accurate information regarding the ingredients of the food as it can cause serious health issues if the customer is misinformed.

I doubt that I will be returning to this establishment anytime soon, however I believe that the owners will take the feedback and implement some improvements to avoid further issues like the ones our party experienced. After all, the place was extremely cozy indoors and there is a lot of potential for a great midday or afternoon meal with a nice...

I've visited this cafe several times for its lovely summer terrace, but today's lunch was super disappointing. We waited 45 minutes for our food and asked a waitress to check. Five minutes later, another waitress tried to bring us the bill instead. After correcting her, she checked our order and said it might take more time. We mentioned we had to leave soon. My partner's sandwich then arrived in five minutes, but mine took another ten—55 minutes in total.

The owner brought my partner’s food and defensively mentioned a big group doing wine tastings, claiming the food always takes 30 minutes, even though we hadn’t complained. My partner pointed out our 45+ minute wait and suggested a heads-up would have been nice. The chef sarcastically said he would "put it on the menu" and left.

Having worked in the service industry, I understand busy kitchens, but a simple apology and informing customers of delays is basic courtesy. Not sure I'd want to return after such an unfriendly...

Visited this place for a glass of wine the other weekend and it was a lovely experience! The prices were fitting, wine good and staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I will definitely be stopping by again in the future :)

If there's one thing I could give little bit of a feedback on it's the acoustics of the place. For a fairly small space it was quite noisy. There were wonderful plants hanging around as decoration but also a lot of empty wall and window space and it created a bit of an echo chamber. There were couple other groups besides us and everyone was speaking in normal voices and yet it was hard to hear what my table mates were saying. Maybe some padding or wall decor would help out? Curtains? I don't remember if there were any rugs on the floor but I figure those could be helpful as well.

Other than that all of us really enjoyed our time there! A very nice cozy pick for darkening...
