Espresso House Sello — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

This Espresso house location is always very busy at it is located on the ground floor in the heart of Sello shopping mall. It can be challenging to find seating and you'll often have to sit with strangers on a table or couch seating area as spaces can be hard to come by. The food and drink quality varies quite a bit. Espresso House has some great sandwiches and food items, but also some that I personally did not enjoy at all. Please note, I am not a picky eater. The quality of their coffee products also varies quite a bit, from great to good to bad. Please note that I have a special interest in coffee and might be more picky in this area in comparison to the average customer. Espresso needs to be grinded and extracted just right. If one or both of these parameters are off the espresso can be very bitter or very acidic. Both has happened to me before. As I know I can not expect artisan level coffee products here and being a good barista takes training, I just put up with it by adding a lot of extra milk or even sugar, which I usually don't use in coffee products (filter coffee, espresso, cafe latte, etc). Ambience-4.5/5 Food-4/5 Drinks-3.5/5 I will give them an extra point for the only cafe opening before 10am on a Saturday. Love there kardemanpulla, i never lets me down. I also had the bagel cheese sandwich, the staff was nice and asked to warm it up. I guess that increased the taste. The cafe macchiato was weird, i think they accidentally used less amount of coffee. They should improve their shakes or frappino, the Shukla frappino was mostly ice and not that much...

If only I could give negative reviews about the general uncleanness of the place. I get that the place is in a busy mall, meaning that the workers are probably understaffed and overworked, but it's just so.. Uninviting to see a bug crawling in the muffins and to see all these dirty tables with mountains of dirty dishes limiting your options to sit down when the seats are already rather taken.
