Persialainen Ravintola — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

I went to eat to this restaurant on New Year's Eve with a friend. The place was quite packed, mostly Persian people (I assume, by outlook) but we got a table. It took awhile before we were given the menus. The first odd thing happened when we asked about the starters, the waiter said that there are no starters available. Ahm, okay... We then ordered main courses for both. My friend could have had a bit more meat in her portion, it was mainly the sauce, but otherwise the food was good, not exquisite but for the price range very fine. However, we were talking about returning to try other food. We finished eating and were waiting quite a while to be served but no one came and so we tried to have the waiter's attention. When we eventually got it, my friend wanted coffee (and dessert). Once again the waiter excused and said that there is no coffee either... The reason was obvious in his next phrase: there was a group of people waiting to come in. We understood the message between the lines: he wants to get rid off us in order to be able to have the group in. It felt like we are second class customers. Furthermore, by normal restaurant standards in Finland, had they promptly served us (we do understand the business of the evening though), we could have had starters and my friend could have had her coffee and dessert, and still be out of the restaurant about the same time as we eventually did, with a nice after taste for both of us. Very low quality food. The ingredients are far from fresh and made poorly. The meat was too dry and the rice not so well made.

The interior design is also not pleasant. No effort (absolutely none) is put into decorating some place nice or even comfortable furniture.

An unfortunate accident was that a piece of bone in one kebab broke my friend's teeth. The management just tried to brush it off with just laughter!

The prices are not high, but the quality is so low that it is still a wrong...

I liked the kebab platter! And the soup on the side (forgot what it's called). Though, the nan bread is not as good as I had hoped, that's why only 4 stars.

Staff is very friendly. Also the service is fast 👍 I like that the place is baby friendly. They have not only have high chairs but they also microwaved my baby's food in the kitchen 👶
