Green Egg — Restaurant in Jyväskylä sub-region

We were visiting Jyväskylä as the WRC was in town. This restaurant offers a good selection of beef, chicken and vegetarian options, with a mix of western and Asian flavours. I had the sticky beef bun, and it was great. The beef was really tender and there was the right amount of sauce and toppings too. An English language version of the menu is available. We had really tasty dinner at Green Egg. We shared the citrus-chili prawns as a starter, they tasted great, but were lukewarm when they arrived at our table. Immediately after we finished the starter, the main dishes arrived. There was no time in between, which ruined the experience a bit for us. The main dishes (pork belly and burger bun) were, again, very delicious.

One of the best restaurants in Jyväskylä, this small café/restaurant to me initially appeared kind of vegetarian looking but that couldn't be further from the truth. They do one of the best briskets I've ever had in either a bun or a plate format, plus they do a mean chicken kebab. The filled pockets are a high point to watch out for, the food is usually fast and tasty and the staff are always a delight. Expect a good dinner and a drink...
