El Toro — Restaurant in Lahti sub-region

The pepper sauce and beef was quite good actually. I enjoyed the tenderness and the creamy sauce was spot on, good spice and full of flavour. Although the place gives the impression that this is a Spanish restaurant then I'd say this is not so. They have some spa ish meals and tapas, but it's heavily Nordic inspired, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but can be misleading.

Tiny tapas platter that was advertized for two. Two octopus rings, two schrimp, two olives 😄, two dried tomatopieces, some salad and cheapest "Cold " smoked salmon slices you can find and those did not even resemble good cold amoked salmon. Saavuimme ilman pöytävarausta arkipäivänä syömään. Googlen arvostelu kertoi tällä erää olevan jotain 4.5/5.0 luokkaa, jolloin suostuimme menemään tänne syömään. Ensitunnelma oli mukavan espanjalaistyyppinen. Tarjoilijat kuitenkin tuntui enemmänkin teennäisiltä kuin luontevilta omilta itseltään. Tuli hieman erikoinen olo toimiessa tässä paikassa kieltämättä. Googlen antama 4.5 ka oli kyllä mielestäni yliampuva. Hintataso oli korkeakohko ruoan määrään nähden, ehkä enemmän fine dining-tyylinen paikka ja pukeutuskoodikin sitä taisi puoltaa. Silti, vaikka ruoka oli hyvää (joskin hiukan liian pippurista, en jaksais valittaa turhasta mutta kun tänä kesänä on oikeasti ollut 5/5 paikoissa syömässä niin vaikea sitä olla hiljaakaan). En koe, että alkupalat, pääruoka tai jälkkäri olisi paljoa nostanut pisteitä koska asiakaspalvelu oli teennäisen oloista.
