Pub Virasto — Restaurant in Lahti sub-region

An English styled pub at the heart of Lahti. It's has really fancy and pompous looking interior design yet it's really cozy. Prices are a bit more expensive than average but selection is grand here. Beer index for regular Finnish lager is 6,50 Euros. Coffee is a bit better than average here because it's made from fresh beans by a machine. No vegetarian oriented milk option though.

There's quite a lot of space here so plenty of room for even bigger groups and bar games for time spending. Also remarkable selection of books to read. This place used to be city technical agency which is visible in their name too in Finnish. So interior design isn't a surprise for finns. Also interesting are their signs which contain hints related to agency related stuff. Funny yet a bit hard to understand for foreign people. Ask help from bartender if you can't find the toilet because of these signs. One toilet is at the main area next to bookcase and there are more toilets downstairs.

There's an area for livemusic events downstairs which also contain another desk where you can order your beloved liquid beverages. It isn't open when there isn't much people or it's quiet hours in generally.

Service was good and nothing to complain there really. It was funny and personal. Bartender made jokes and talking with the customers too so not too crumpy at all.

Overall opinion: it's a nice place visit. A bit expensive for me personally. Pleasant atmosphere and plenty of room. Nice details and good service. Nothing really...
