Angus Steak & Wine — Restaurant in Lappeenranta sub-region

We were four and all had different dishes. I took the minute steak and it was lovely. Meat cooked to perfection and tasted very well. Garlic potato was fantastic and the vegetables were astonishing. Thybwere grilled very nicely. The sauce could be much bettee though. We had the cowboy tenderloin steak as well (medium). What a meat. Fantastic steak, it had a nice sear and the meat was juicy, served hot, and again the taste of the meat was fantastic. Potato wedges were pretty good. Some of them had a crusty skin and soft inside which is how I like potato wedges. I'd prefer if all of them were like that. The sauce could have been better again (Pepper sauce). One had meat platter, it wqs quite good and tasty, however, the chorizo was burnt (as you can see from the picture) but upon telling the staff they apologized and sorted it out with a new set of chorizos and boy it was delicious. So job well done. And to my favorite which was the prawn risotto. It was the dish of the night. Full of flavor, one of the best risottos and the prawns couldn't be cooked better. Saavuimme ravintolaan arkipäivänä ennen viittä, joten ruuhkaa ei ollut ja pääsimmekin heti istumaan. Tilaus otettiin myös nopeasti ja alkupalaleipä tuotiin pöytään. Vähäiseen asiakasmäärään nähden ruokia sai kuitenkin odottaa melko kauan.

Tilasimme ankkaa sekä saksanhirveä. Ankka oli erittäin hyvää. Lisukkeet olivat hyvät. Parsa tosin oli niin kovaa, että joutui lainaamaan pihviveistä sen pilkkomiseen.

Saksanhirvestä oli suola unohtunut, mutta se oli helppo korjata pöytäsuolalla. Tilaan pihvini aina medium miinuksena mediumin sijaan, jotta vältän varmemmin täysin kypsän pihvin. Toimi tälläkin kertaa.

Jälkiruoaksi otimme yhden brita-annoksen. Annos oli kohtalainen, ja jos olisi menusta tajunnut lukea lisukkeen olevan limesorbettia eikä vaniljajäätelöä, olisi välttynyt aivojen räjähtämiseltä. Annos oli omaan makuun liian kirpeä, joten en pystynyt sitä syömään. Toisen suuhun maistui kyllä.

Asiakaspalvelu oli erittäin ystävällistä, mutta julmetun hidasta. Jokaisessa käänteessä sai odottaa kohtuuttoman kauan. Jälkiruoka kahvi saapui parikymmentä minuuttia ennen itse kakkua, joten kahvia ei saatu nauttia jälkkärin kera. Tämä viivästyminen tosin johtui tilauslaitteen viasta ja saimme siitä erittäin kohtuullisen hyvityksen.

Kaiken kaikkiaan erittäin positiivinen yllätys kyseisen ketjun ravintolaksi. Voin suositella, mutta vain jos asiakaspalvelun hitaus ei...

Nice place, rather expensive. The snails were not that great and I got like 3 chicken stripes with very greasy vegetables but the goat cheese was amazing plus the alcohol free wine was such a pleasant surprise and did taste really good. All in all it was an okay evening with some mediocre good food. For the price I would have expected a bit more. On the side note I ordered an cappuccino and it was so small 😂.
