Restaurant Lalo — Restaurant in Lappeenranta sub-region

One of the locals' favourite restaurants in Lappeenranta for its affordable, yet quality menu. Lalo offers dishes for people of all diets, but they're specifically famed for their barbeque foods. The delicious salad bar is a meal by itself, and their lunchtime offers are unbeatable. The owner is a well known man who's locally famous for launching numerous restaurants in the South-Karelia region, with Lalo being his 'crown jewel'. The only negative thing that comes to mind is their sometimes busy and (sometimes) seemingly a bit indifferent staff, but taking note of their high number of customers to serve and the forementioned positive sides, Lalo can absolutely be considered as being one of the most worth places to dine while staying in...

We spontaneously came here for dinner and had to wait a bit to get a table. Although this isn't a small restaurant it's always packed. Rightfully so! The (grilled) food is truly divine, the staff friendly and the atmosphere cosy and welcoming! The prices are actually on the lower side considering that you can take as much as you like from the well-stocked salad buffet (lots of antipasti in there too!), as well as the coffee, tea and dessert buffet! And it's all good quality stuff, so you definitely get a lot of bang for the buck. I think you get free water too, if you don't order drinks.

I invited guests there believing that the food is decent. It was a while back. We noticed the staff are staring at us all the time which made us unbelievably uncomfortable. I asked for a medium steak but a rare was brought. I took a bite out of my guests dessert just to try and they charged us 10 euros without even informing us beforehand so I could actually have a proper salad and dessert.
