Pizzeria Da Mario — Restaurant in Oulu sub-region

The overall experience was mediocre. First, I was welcomed by a nonchalant waiter. He told me that he was unsure he could find some seat for me, even with an ~20% filled restaurant (even less when I left). I waited at least 5 minutes for finally getting a seat, acting like I had a privilege (there's like at least 10 other restaurants with such good reviews around)

The only good thing about the food is that the pizzas were big, I mean really big (I added a photo with my "average" hand in comparison). But the pizza wasn't that garnished, poor quality ingredients (like sticks of ham instead of slices like in a real pizzeria, the pineapple tasted like out from a can and tasteless, you can easily choke on the cheese base in the pizza, which is a far cry from the tasty mozzarella or even Emmenthal normally found in Italian-style pizzas). I had to put lots of pepper and tobacco to get a little taste (I normally eat the pizza as it is, the lack of taste 'forced me' to do so)

During the whole 'experience', it was like I was annoying the waiter by the simple fact I was existing, I don't even know why...

Once I went at the counter to pay, I was charged 2 euros more for my pizza than what was on the menu (I checked the price of the pizza on their website just to be sure I wasn't hallucinating). I didn't even try to explain myself because I knew it was the kind of place where they can always find a reason to explain an inflated bill. At first, I still wanted to give a tip because I know how hard it is to work in restaurants, but this finally disgusted me. If they're looking to increase profit in such a way at the point of payment, you can be pretty sure they're doing the same when it comes to selecting ingredients.

They have such an impressive variety of pizzas – truly something for everyone – and every bite was just delicious! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, right in the heart of the city, which makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy good food.

What truly stood out was the kindness and genuine care of the person who served us. 💕 It felt so heartfelt and created such a warm atmosphere that we left filled with appreciation and amazement for this experience.

Yesterday I was at this pizzeria Mario when visiting Oulu for the first time. I decided to go there because of the high rating, since it is considered one of the best pizzeria in Oulu. Pizza was very regular, good but definitely not the best, far from the best. But the thing is that after I left the restaurant, I felt badly, my stomach was screwed and I had diarrhea soon after.
