GreenStar Hotel Oulu — Hotel in Oulu sub-region

Hotel itself is easy to find with a nice entrence by the street.

Right away as I walk it I notice the smell of smoke, this could come from the 1000 smokes laying on the ground outside. The hallway between room on the second floor also shared someone of the same scent.

Small room that does remind of a lugar on a boat but I enjoyed the room, it was clean, had both a micro and a fridge and some kitchenwear which is very nice!

Shower was good preasure and temp, but only had rainshower, not a handheld option.

All in all, I would perhaps give this a thumbs up for a layover or if 98% of your business in Oulu is taking place outside and this is a place for rest.

Keep in mind that the rooms are not soundproof. You hear your nabours quite well.

We stayed at GreenStar Hotel Oulu. The room is minimalist and relatively clean, with basic amenities: microwave, fridge, hairdryer, dishes, and Wi-Fi. Beds are comfortable except for the extra bed — too hard and narrow.

A major downside is that windows don’t open. There’s no fresh air, and no air conditioning either — only a fan, which just circulates the same warm air. It gets hot and stuffy, and the corridor has an unpleasant odor, somewhat like stagnant sewage. Sleeping is difficult in such conditions.

Breakfast was good: simple but fresh food. Porridge, eggs, vegetables, sausages, cheese — all tasty.

Rooms were about the same size as you'd expect on a small cruise ship. The ventilation within the rooms was nonexistent, leading to the small rooms getting quite hot and poor in oxygen. The parking was a miserable inner courtyard you would squeeze yourself into, and I had to carry my dog over the large grating at the entrance in an effort to not have its legs fall through it. The restroom was quite small, but that was sort of expected for the price.

The main difference between this place and other cheaper options was staff that did their best, and a breakfast which was acceptable. Personally I would rather take a cheaper option and simply go out to...
