Casa Italia — Restaurant in Savonlinna sub-region

Tuesday afternoon at the market place was crowded, this restaurant not - customers at 3-4 tables. Place is next to the lake, quite windy which was now only good, cause the day was pretty sticky and close. There’s two parts to sit in - both are covered but only one part has windows to close when it’s raining.

Staff is Italian with one Finnish speaking lady. They all forgot us so we had to wait too long to be able to order even drinks! Not good. I recommend to choose and order the food at the same time with the drinks!

Food came quite fast after our order. The taste was very nice, portion size big enough and taste for the main course and the deserts recommended. The steak was expensive but extremely tasty. Our deserts were, however, missing the ”maitokreemi” promised in the menu (I saw other customers getting there ”plates full”).

Music played from a huge speaker was relaxing, typical restaurant music but it was way too loud especially for customers at the nearby tables.

You are lucky if you can find the place to park close to the market place. All parking in the town center must be paid for in July cause the Opera Festival brings tens of thousands of visitors to fill the streets… Easy Park and Parkman apps highly recommended.

Syömäni halloum burgeri oli oikein maittava! Palvelu oli loistavaa ja ruoka tuli todella nopeasti pöytään 👍🏼 Erikois kiitos blondille tarjoilijattarella sekä mukavan leppoisalle ja ammattimaiselle kokille Pekalle.
