Il Posto Hervanta — Restaurant in Tampere sub-region

It is very hard to be positive about anything on our visit to this pizzeria this evening perhaps the cleanliness of the toilets....from the inexperienced front house staff who struggled in finnish as well as english to the very tasteless pizzas.....my daughter and I both had hair in our pizzas,it was hard to imagine this cafeteria setting with a bit of italian music and a flower placed in an italian beer bottle getting the reviews that it has..we had travelled specificaly because of its recommendations.....we did make our dissapointment known and were not charged for the pizzas,although the majority we had not eaten anyway....on top of it all the service was very,very slow....Im sorry I have had to make such a bad review but our experience...

My friends and I are regulars at il posto, they provide high quality fresh Italian pizzas, their prices are not cheap but acceptable for the quality given. The south of the pizza is a fresh one with large handles, that can be annoying since it's just dough so you'll get full from that rather than the pizza itself. The cheapest pizza there is the margherita which is 70% pizza sauce and the rest is small circles of Margueritta, this is one of the only pizza that I don't recommend since it's very plain and liquid, the rest is amazing. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is not in a hype location in the center of Tampere, but rather in the suburbs of Hervanta. I've been passing by for about half a year and never thought about popping-in. Well, today we did... and it was a good thing. We had two very delicious portions of pasta, carbonara and amatriciana. We also had an excellent cheese platter, tiramisu and accompanying wines: Merlot rosé, Riesling, and Chianti. You will know you are in an authentic Italian place because of the atmosphere and the Italian chatter. Definitely going there...
