We had dinner in Tampere and chose this restaurant for a slightly more traditional Finnish experience. It’s definitely not on the cheap side, but the food was worth it — the reindeer was beautifully prepared, tender, and full of flavor. You could tell a lot of care went into the cooking.
The wine, unfortunately, was a bit underwhelming, but to be fair, Finland isn’t exactly known for its wine culture, so that didn’t bother us too much. What really stood out was the service — the staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. They made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming.
The interior has an old-fashioned charm, somewhere between nostalgic and elegant — almost like stepping back into the interwar period. It might not be to everyone’s taste, but it adds a unique atmosphere that fits the restaurant’s character.
