Surf Shack Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Turku sub-region

I recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere.

The owner is an artistic and adventurous dude who takes pride and joy in what he does and he clearly knows how to handle any random customer in a way that makes you feel very welcome, this is a thing that many many many other entrepeneur sadly don't know how to do.

I was walking along Aurajoki and was very disappointed when none of the bars were open. Then I stumble upon Surf Shack and I gotta say, I'm glad that I did. I will be visiting this place everytime I go to Turku from now on.

I had no idea what I wanted to drink but the owner showed his professionality by recommending different drinks. The customer experience was effortless and the service was superb to say the least.

He took his time to tell stories about the place, what decorations he has designed and what decorations other artist have designed and so on.

Sadly I had my car with me so I could only have 1 beer, I would've loved to stay longer and taste the many interesting drinks on the list.

I was so flabbergasted by the owners enthusiasm that i forgot to ask his name but here's my message to you mr. entrepeneur: continue keeping it real, your heart is in the right place when it comes to customer service and running a bar! Continue with learning even more Finnish (for the record, there was nothing wrong with your Finnish)! Until next time!

Hello! Thank you for your consideration, I appreciate it! The place itself was great: nice table soccer to play with my friends, very kind and friendly bartender and the atmosphere just like on my vacation in the Caribbean! However I was upset about the fact, that the drinks were served in disposable plastic cups, and I am very concerned about the plastic waste and the state of our planet, so that's why I had somehow mixed feelings after our visit. I noticed that also someone else besides me wrote about the disposable plastic cups here on Google Maps. So if you could get rid of those plastic cups and use real glasses instead, it would absolutely be 5* from me! You have a wonderful bar and a great attitude! Thank you...
