Stopping over a night in Abbeville on the way through, I wandered in to Bistro des Halles, randomly, only place open, only person eating, couldn’t understand the French menu. Went with the chef recommendations. Had some local Picardy dishes - Absolutely superb. Flavours were incredible, clearly lots of effort had gone in. Highly recommend. A real experience I enjoyed and will remember far more than many over hyped big city...

En venant au Bistrot des Halles, on n’est ni franchement déçu ni agrĂ©ablement surpris. Le repas est correct, le service sympa, la carte bien fournie et le cadre plutĂŽt calme en terrasse. Mais : les tarifs sont trop Ă©levĂ©s pour le service fourni (des plats pas exceptionnels, manque des basiques (pas de ketchup, pas de chaise bĂ©bĂ©, pas de savon dans les toilettes.. oups), le service un peu lent, l’établissement un peu cracra. 10€ le menu enfant steak hachĂ©/frites et une boule de glace Ă  Abbeville
