Very nice place and ambience, however we had an underwhelming welcome. We (my wife and I) had two courses, my wife’s very good and enjoyable, mine were poor, the chicken (overcooked and tough) with a balsamic vinegar sauce and a butter noisette was totally over powered by the balsamic vinegar, so much so it made my lips tingle. It ruined a lovely looking dish and my enjoyment of our wine choice. When asked if everything was good I gave my feedback about the overpowering sauce, no response what so ever. Disappointing to say the least. The welcome was non existent. They were doing us a favour serving us. We even had to ask to get the table cleaned.

I ordered a cesear's salad what I received was wet lettuce, literally soaked in dressing with chicken just about cooked. It was literally inedible. We sent it back and they were prepared to make a second one, but to honest I'd lost my appetite. No direct apology and the waitress in the background did the old eye roll! Definitely would never visit again....

I recently dined at Bistrot Matchet and was thoroughly impressed by their duck breast dish. From the moment it arrived at the table, I was struck by the beautiful presentation. The duck was cooked to perfection, with a crisp and flavorful skin and a juicy, tender interior. The three accompanying sauces complemented the duck excellently and the vegetables only enhanced the overall experience.
