The place was empty when we came in, and there was an adorable pet dog running around with a tennis ball looking for someone to play catch with.
As someone who came from somewhere with lots of authentic Japanese and Asian food, I can say that the sides are very good. Especially the Garlic and Chilli Edamame , and the Crispy Chilli Squid, and the Pork Gyoza. Make sure to order these!
For main, I suggest just getting the Chicken Katsu Curry, which tastes pretty good to me. It can be better, but its good enough. My friends got the other noodles but they commented that it wasn't good.
I also got Katsu Fries to share which tastes good to everyone.
If you are just here to chill and drink, make sure to get the sides to go with the drinks!
One of the staff doesn't look very friendly at first, but he was very helpful with our ordering. He was not rude. just not very smiley in my opinion which is totally fine to me. Kodo has a nice, inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a chill evening après ski or even a proper meal. They offer a decent selection of drinks from the bar or if you're looking for something warm. The food is generally excellent - pleasantly flavourful, generously portioned and beautifully plated.
The place can easily get packed on a typical evening so plan to show up earlier to secure a table. Worth a visit if...
Read moreFantastic vegan-friendly meal enjoyed with friends last night at Kodo—our first visit, but we will be regulars throughout the season! Absolutely full of flavour and super fresh vegetables…so great to have an Asian/VG friendly option here in the ski resort, such a rarity! We enjoyed coconut-based curries with perfectly steamed rice, and flavoursome Dan Dan noodles. And the Bang Bang Broccoli was a hit! (Forgot to take a photo!) We’re looking forward to working our way around the menu on future visits. A super friendly team serving up great craft beers, too. Love the atmosphere! Takeaway is available, too. Thanks so much, Joe & Frankie! TOTAL YUMMERS!...
