My son and I had a fantastic meal with hosts Marie, Patrick and their family. We are from the US and this was one of the better meals I have had in a very long time. My son and I opted for the tasting menu - sharing both options for apetizer, entree and dessert. Each dish was meticulously prepared (not fussy), fresh product, beautiful flavors and perfectly sized portions. You can sense the family's passion to please their guests through the quality of the food and pleasant, attentive service. If you have the tasting menu, add the cheese course. The supplement will be worth it! All the cheeses are local - Marie told us about each cheese, where it was from and she made very good recommendations. This restaurant is indeed a star - a gem of a find and worth a trip. The whole experience was special, so much so, I will likely opt to stay in St. Martin De Belleville the next time I visit Les 3 Vallees just so I can take my familiy to L'Etoile des Neiges in the years to come. If you’re vegetarian, best avoid until they update the menu.
This place was recommended to us by locals, but unfortunately it didn’t meet expectations. The staff were ‘cool’ to say the least and didn’t really create a welcoming atmosphere. As a vegetarian I had very limited options - the menu depicted multiple vegetarian options, but 90% of them had fish in. So I had a cheese salad to start which was ok, but nothing special. The worst meal I have ever had in France!! The last night of our holiday, we have eaten at Au Tore, La Montyard, La Ferme and La Voute and this was by far the worst restaurant. The tuna tataki was dry, the veal was tasteless and even the tartiflette was poor!! The management can’t accept this feedback and were incredibly rude!
