La Charpenterie — Restaurant in Albertville

Quaint setting in an old carpenters' workshop (I think).

We weren't especially hungry so only had main courses. They looked very attractive, but were somewhat style over substance. The beef cheek was overcooked (and therefore dry without the jus) and tepid. I didn't have the heart to ask for a warm/hot version. Other than that, it was nice enough. The sea bass was fine but the hollandaise foam was too acidic. Both plates had too much puree. I suppose having lots of purees and sauces makes it easier to get food out quickly, as no precise cooking is required at the point of delivery, but it is not that enjoyable to eat.

We were 30 minutes late and the restaurant kept our reservation. The menu is short but very good balanced. Interesting wine card. The tables are very good distributed. And the food!! Delicious! We were three persons so we ordered everything to share. In order to try. Aplausos for the kitchen! Quick and perfect. The team is very stylish and friendly🎩 And the shots to go were strong enough)) Everything was just perfect.

P.S.. please do something with the toilet .. and the entrance zone. Your work deserves...

A charming little restaurant, absolutely perfect for our New Year’s meal. You can really tell that the team goes above and beyond to delight food lovers. The cuisine is delicious, the dishes are beautifully presented, the prices are very reasonable, and the service is flawless with a warm and friendly touch.
