Niurou steakhouse — Restaurant in Albertville

Myself and 2 other friends visited Niurou fairly late on an impromptu visit after visiting the local swimming pool, although the restaurant was fairly quiet we were welcomed in and shown to our table where we enjoyed a lovely meal. The food was very good the only downside was the amount of time it took to be served and felt we were waiting for a very long time for everything as the owners a lovely couple were busy talking to their friends.That being said we felt our night was amazing. The next night wondering what to do with ourselves we decided on another impromptu visit to Niurou. Once again we arrived late into the evening and on arrival the restaurant was fairly busy, we asked if it would be possible for a table for 4 expecting to be disappointed, we were told have a drink in the next door bar and come back in 30 mins where she would tidy up some table and squeeze us in. Having not expected this outcome we left happy proceeded next door and waited the 30 minutes. Eagerly anticipating another good meal we returned where we did not expect the following. We were told that all the food had been sold and it was not possible for us to come in as they were too busy! We were left shocked and angry, how can you tell people 30 minutes and that would be fine and then change your mind? The customer serve was shocking! We were not upset that we couldn't eat there we were upset as we wasted our time waiting which meant were were unable to visit another restaurant due to the time, we had to resort to eating a pizza from a kebab shop. What a way to end a fantastic holiday in Tignes with food from a kebab shop! We appreciated it was late when we arrived and was very busy and had we been told from he start it wasn't possible we would have left and eaten somewhere else, she completed ruined our last night in resort. A Memorable Evening at Niurou Steak House – Tignes Le Lac

From the moment we walked into Niurou Steak House, we were welcomed into a space that felt both cosy and homely, setting the perfect tone for what would become one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in recent memory.

We began our evening with a couple of perfectly crafted pre-dinner cocktails – a Negroni and a Margarita – both balanced and flavorful, a delightful prelude to the feast ahead.

For mains, we ordered two fillet steaks, accompanied by crispy chips and rich, buttery garlic mushrooms. The steaks were nothing short of outstanding – cooked to absolute perfection. We genuinely can’t recall the last time we had steak that good. The accompanying sauces – a bold Blue cheese and a zesty chimichurri – elevated the dish even further, offering complementary flavours with every bite.

Our host (whose name, unfortunately, we didn’t catch) recommended a beautiful bottle of wine to pair with the meal. Her suggestion was spot on, and her friendly, welcoming nature made the experience all the more enjoyable.

To finish, we shared a slice of Basque cheesecake – light, creamy, and utterly delicious. The perfect end to a truly wonderful meal.

It was my friends 50th birthday and we wanted somewhere quaint and a bit more special than the norm, Niurou Steakhouse was suggested by the assistant team manager of our hotel and we were certainly not disappointed. The moment we arrived the service was outstanding. Although a little early Debbie ensured we had drinks and menus to peruse whilst she attended to the other customers. From the bread and beef dripping butter, to the scrumptious starters, delicious desserts and what can only be described as THE BEST steak I have ever tried, the food was stunning. As a chef myself I appreciate how difficult it can be to get all food out at the same time, however it seemed effortless for the extremely talented chef. Since returning to the UK I have told friends of our delightful experience and have recommended your restaurant.
