Maison Chavanne — Restaurant in Albi

I have to be honest I was disappointed. It was ok. Maison Chavanne has a great location right in the main square in the centre of Gaillac. There are a few seats inside plus a good sized area outside, clearly separated from the pathway. There's also a customer toilet, which was clean.

We ordered an espresso and a black tea with milk plus a slice of pizza and a croque monsieur, both ordered hot.

Our drinks arrived, minus a spoon and sugar, shortly followed by our snacks. The slice of pizza was cold, the cheese hadn't even melted, and neither was the cheese on the croque monsieur, and the ham was cold inside. Shame as it's in a really good spot and could be great. Maybe it was just an off day, we all have them after all.

Our order came to just over €12, about £10, which wasn't too bad but it would have been really nice to have had our food hot.

En quelques années, la baguette a augmenté de 0.15 cts et a rétréci de taille. Je viens de temps en temps. A présent, c'est au tour du croissant, (la chocolatine a aussi augmenté entretemps). L'autre jour, on m'a servi un croissant sec, sans saveur. En tout, j'en ai eu pour 2.10 €. C'est le consommateur qui doit payer pour cause de Covid... Aujourd'hui, et depuis quelques jours, je me rends chez votre concurrent, avenue Gambetta. Le croissant est à 10.95 cts €, copieux et délicieux. La chocolatine à 1.00 €. J'ai réglé 1.95 € avec en prime le sourire, et tout est bon... Dommage d'en arriver là... Perdre des clients pour 0.15 cts. Moi, je regarde mon porte-monnaie...

Je fais suite au commentaire laissé par vous il y a quelques minutes... Je suis cliente depuis bien avant Chavanne. La baguette était bien à 0.95 cts... Peu importe,... Ensuite je n'ai pas parlé de "voler la clientèle". Je dis juste la réalité. A la lecture de votre réponse, le sentiment que ça donne c'est le suivant "on fait comme on peut, étant donné les circonstances..." C'est pire.... 0.10 cts ou 0.15 ne fait pas une grande différence pour moi. Bonne continuation, désormais, j'irai...

The food is ok but the customer service is none existing.

They say they open until 20h which is not true they open until 19h30, and even though we arrived at 19h, after we paid, we were refused to have a table and even refused to use the bathroom (which was the reason we stopped in first place).

Really disgusting way of...
